Review summary

This was my first time on Mariner and I LOVED it. My first ocean view cabin and I won’t go back. The hallway was quiet, the ship spotless, service outstanding, was relaxing, and moctails good. Pizza being free at cafe huge plus! Great ship!

The food was pretty good. The Italian night was the least favorite for me. The food was always warm.

The ice show was fantastic. We lounged at the pool most of the time. It was overall very relaxing as we got to choose what we wanted.

Angelo & Dhan provided above and beyond service in the main dining room. This is what sets Royal apart and made my main dining experience the reason why I sail Royal. I am so glad we met Angelo on the second day & were able to request him for dinner every night. Glenda Balneg our stateroom attendant was friendly & so welcoming. She did a great job at servicing our room and was on top of every request we had. Usha Toolsy from Guest services helped with a question I had and found the best option for us not the quickest answer. The best guest service experience I have had! Chihan from Jamie’s Italian was a great server and aided our food preferences. Shelton, Denmark & Ronald in the windjammer were so nice & took the time to talk to us. They provided excellent service. Kyle & David in cafe promenade were extremely hard working & were quick to clear tables & assist us with getting extra honey for our tea & ALWAYS greeted us with a smile. They all did an amazing job. The pizza counter workers work very hard and are always friendly even with rude kids. I felt like a million bucks everywhere I went. Even crew members just walking by at every time of the day greeted with a smile and hello.
