Review summary

Not the cruise I paid for- but the one I got. Ended up only making it to the Bahamas because a bunch of drunk old bitties cant seem to walk and drink at the same time. The Cruise line did not evacuate the injured passengers in a timely or efficient manner, and we ended up parked off of Miami beach 2x over the course of a 4 day trip to offload passengers onto US Coast Guard vessels. They could have evacuated them by helicopter and saved the rest of us the indignity of what really amounted to a cruise to nowhere.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Effortless, quick. My only misgiving was that they docked far away from our parking lot and we had to take a bus to get to the terminal

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food is overall very good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool is overcrowded, and finding deck lounge chairs can be difficult. Fitness Center is very nice, and the ship itself is very clean.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
A mix of cheesy cruise ship shows, and onboard entertainment. The Ice Skating show is excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall excellent. Friendly and helpful staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship appears to be in good shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
A bit dated, but adequate for my needs, linens and bedding are A+.

Ship tip

Get a poolside deck chair early.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

1 out of 5
We never made it. The ship ended up stopping in Miami 2x in 3 days because of injured passengers (breaking bones from falling) it completely ruined our destination vacation.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
was actually pretty quick and easy.

I can understand why passengers would be so upset to have plans ruined because of careless, irresponsible "drunk old biddies". That sucks.

Y ah I heard about this sailing that turned into a cruise to nowhere. Sorry that this happened to you.

To my understanding, the cruise lines cannot dictate how people are evacuated from the ships. The coast guard makes that call and the cruise lines must follow. Air evacuations are very high risk and only used when necessary.

So sorry! Extremely drunk people are so self-centered. They need to stay home and drink all they want.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. I’m sure if the injured passengers could have been airlifted, they would have been. There had to be reasons why they weren’t. Hope the injured passengers are recovering.
