Review summary

Been reading reviews seems Mariner has had a history of 'medical emergencies" and turning back to the main land. Why do they have a Helipad if they are not going to use it? I am thinking never again on Royal

Embarkation

4 out of 5

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Very slow service everywhere we went on the ship

The pools were always crowded and very loud, hard to talk to people

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The ice skating show was very good the rest was just ho hum

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was very friendly and attentive

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship was clean the the lay out made for a lot of noise all the time

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5

Don't

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
This is one of my favorite ports to sail out of

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

We just did loops of the Florida coast and have several "medical emergencies" ended up in Nassau, the one port I try to avoid

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We did the breakfast and left at our leisure, very easy getting off and couldn't wait to get home to be able to get a good nights sleep

Very disappointed hearing all this bad information about this cruise. I’m very skeptical now on my up coming cruise.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Sorry that it didn’t meet your expectations. I’m sure there were reasons why the injured or sick passengers weren’t airlifted. It’s not just up to Royal or any cruise line/ship to decide how they get transported to medical facilities.
