Review summary

It was very nice but once we had a medical emergency due to dehydration it went downhill from there. The medical staff was very nice but did not make me feel comfortable by telling me the ship would leave us and I’d have to fend for myself in a foreign country. Once we were allowed to come back it’s clear the ship never expected us to return. We were left all alone! My sea pass card did not work and I believe it was because they had checked us out. I had to pack my stuff before I left. I was in tears carrying my bags down in front of everyone. I cried and cried and felt so scared! We got back to our room and it had been changed from a queen sized bedroom to a twin sized. It was clear we had been checked out. We did not get to eat anything that morning or afternoon since we didnt get back till around five. I think we should’ve been compensated somehow since we did pay for our meals for that day but did not get to eat or drink. Our last day at sea was okay. We rested and watched some things going on. That might the waves were bad for some reason and we became very sick and went straight to bed. I’ve never wanted to be back on land so much in my life. It was truly a terrifying experience.

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
We did not buy a drink package because of the ridiculous prices! I am not a coffee drinker so having water and coffee available wasn’t much to us. It was hard to find enough places to get a drink except Coco Cay where they had flavored water in many areas. That should’ve been available on the ship as well. No one told us u til the third day we could have lemonade. Might have kept us out of the hospital if we’d known.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

I liked the comedy shows but seems like that’s all there really was.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining experience was great. They were so nice to us and worked hard for their money. Some bar staff had some attitudes but most were super nice and attentive. I saw them walking around all the time picking up trash and asking people if they needed a drink.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I thought the ship was super nice and I compared them to the other ships near us but I think our rooms could’ve been updated.

Cabin / Stateroom

I felt like it needs some updates. It really needs more plug ins.

Ship tip

Get a Passport!! Don’t buy a drink package! Bring packets to flavor your water. Find out where you can get water and bring a bottle so you can stay hydrated. Buy the travel insurance! You honestly never know what kind of emergency you might have! We were charged 980 dollars to see medical plus we had to go to a hospital in Nassau. It was awful! I had to have money upfront to be seen. One hospital wanted 2000 up front before they would see us. If you want better service bring a credit card so you can go there otherwise expect to be in the worst unsanitary hospital you’ve ever been in.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

This place is awful. Natives attack you once you get on land and will try to take all your money! Don’t go far from the Port it’s not worth the danger! I hope no one ever has to go to the hospital. It is truly a nightmare

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Disembarkation

I really felt like we were being kicked off the ship awful early. I’d never been on a cruise but I felt like it was awful early to be told to get off. It was very fast though.

Sorry you had a scary moment and felt you were treated poorly. Hopefully you are well.

Sorry you had the issue. It’s always important to have a good comprehensive travel policy that includes medical insurance and medical evacuation. Most cruise lines are set up to handle minor medical issues and it is common to require those needing more involved medical attention to disembark the ship. These types of issues can and do occur and is why it is important to have a Passport, since you must have one to return to the US via airline.
