Review summary

Quick getaway with my wife. Short but sweet. We had a great time. RCL didn’t wow me but also didn’t disappoint. Each cruise company seems to have their pros and cons. Hey, it’s a cruise! We had fun.

Smooth experience. Arrived at 10am. On the ship by 10:45.

Food and Dining

Dinner in the main dining room was good. Service was exceptional. Breakfast anywhere in the ship seems to be an afterthought. Absolutely poor. Room service food was okay but takes a long time to get it delivered.

Onboard Activities

Rock climbing wall and bungee jumping were both fun.

Entertainment

Maybe it’s because the cruise is short, but this part of the cruise was lacking. Norwegian absolutely blows them away with entertainment. Very disappointed overall. The ice skating show was pretty good and the jugglers were funny. Other than that, meh.

Ship Quality

Very clean. Hard to get used to the layout in my opinion. It’s not bad or anything. Just different than what I’m used to. The Royal Promenade feels like you are in a mall. Some may like it. I’m not sure I did. It was a nice place to people watch though.

Cabin / Stateroom

Clean and about what I expected. Except, the tiny shower is a joke. Nothing they can do about it, but truly small compared to other cruise lines.
