Review summary

It served the purpose for a Mother's Day weekend. I would never take that Cruise again as it was really too short. Coco Cay is very nice, however, need some activities for over 60 years old crowd. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. Maybe we need to rethink taking cruises on Royal Caribbean as to seems to think its future are the youngsters that sail when in school and grow up. We older people seem to have been forgotten.

Embarkation

Great! Quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Buffets very good, Mane dining room not so good. Went first night and had prime rib. Not so good. I am not sure how other menu were as I made the mistake of ordering the prime rib. Wife said her chicken was very good!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We are not rock climbers, but, fitness center was ok.

Entertainment

What entertainment!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin Steward was great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very close to Freedom of the Seas in design. Would take Mariner of the Sea if offered a longer cruise ((6 to 8 nights) with entertainment.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Clean and comfortable, but some amenties were not there per the brochure on line.

Ship tip

Only take this ship if you want to go to Coco Cay and like sand and sun. I would say it is great for children and teens.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Fourth time in Nassau and nothing changed. Maybe a little cleaner and that is putting it mildly.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
I think it is great for young children. teens and sun worshippers. Add that it has great beaches so make sure you have your sun screen.

Disembarkation

@JT1962... funny I was just gonna suggest Holland America cruise for this cruiser lol 😉 friends of ours were big Holland cruisers and almost fell off my chair when she commented on the ONE time they were playing loud music on the deck and people were dancing like it was something new lol 😉. Yeah I suggest researching your cruises next time. Over 60 not old but then again everyone different and ages differently. I've seen many in their 80's celebrating and dancing the night away - I can see myself like that someday lol 😉. Good luck next time 🌴👙⛵🍹🍝🍦😋

When looking into booking a cruise, research the boat you are going on and the amount of days you are going. You can pick how long you go and be on a different ship :)

I am 57 and love Royal Caribbean. I tried Holland America and the average age was 75, music was mostly from the 1940s and the daytime entertainment was almost non-existent unless you play cards or like cooking demonstrations.
