Mariner of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Ship: Mariner of the Seas
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

We got to the ship about an hour before they started to board people. It was first come first serve to get on and we wanted to get on first and settle in. We waited in a line for about an hour after they started to check people in, since they did no number system of who was actually there first (people butted in line as they arrived to the pier) then once we got to the top of the line one of the attendents asked us to go to another line.... This was now about 3 hours of waitiing (one hour was us being early) Come to find out at this point that someone on the staff threw out all of our room keys. Those who havent cruised before, your room key is attached to a credit card for purchases you make on the ship. So they had to remake all 2000+ room keys with attached credit card information, We waited from 9am - 3pm before our room key was done. It was confusing and hard to hear attendents calling your floor to get room keys. PROS IN ALL OF THIS: the staff did have someone going around with granola bars and water since most of us were there for 5hours or more. However granola bars and water is hardly what I wanted at this point. They had our luggage already at our room once we got on the ship.
Pros: Windjammer Buffet at night
Cons: Check In process
