My family just completed a voyage to the western caribbean over New Years 2009. I have to say the ship is incredibly beautiful, the staff was amazingly attentive but the food was not up to par. Having sailed on 5 previous cruises I expected better food. In the main dining hall every night our food arrived luke-warm. It was never hot nor did it seem extremely fresh. Perhaps this was because we had the second dinner seating and it may have been made for the first seating every night. This was a great disappointment night after night. Windjammer was no better.

Pros: ship's beauty

Cons: food not so great

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? No.
