We signed up for a Puerta Vallarta shore excursion entitled," Snorkel with Sea Lions in Las Caletos" We were promised a catarman ride to the site and received a noisy gas guzzling booze cruise to the site. Upon arriving we were told the sea lions did not feel like snorkeling with us. I am still not sure what this means. We were promised a refund. Upon arriving back on the ship we were told that since we went on the booze cruise to Las Caletos we would be charged $300 for 2 adults and 2 kids. There was not time to do anything else before leaving port. I tried to talk to the shore excursion staff but to no avail. It took them 2 days just to remove the charges specific to the sea lion excurssion that was cancelled. The shore excursion staff are the rudest people I have ever met on any cruise ship

Pros: cabo san lucas was great

Cons: experience with shore excursion staff and subpar food

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? No.

Food and Dining
often inedible
Service and Staff
the staff except the shore excursion staff were great but a few bad apples in shore excursions spoiled it for me
Ship Quality
If I had to do it again I would go on Disney. The food and entertainment are superior
Cabin / Stateroom
very small even by cruise ship standards
