A relaxing cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2007

Room Type: Balcony

This was our 12th cruise and our 10th on RCI. We have enjoyed all of our cruises but this was one that we went on with our friends just to relax and take it easy. We really enjoyed just sitting and watching the water. The food was fantastic in the Windjammer and the dining room. We had the best waiter on this cruise of any of our cruises. (Antonio). Our assistant waiter (Barrington) couldn't have been any better than he was.
We had a balcony stateroom that was very nice and clean. Our stateroom attendant, Shermie, was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The only problem we had on this cruise was all the smokers around us in the other rooms. We could smell the smoke in the halls when we opened our door and also on our balcony because of the smokers on the adjoining balconies. Also, the people in the rooms around us were not respectful of others when it came to noise. They were a group traveling together and were very noisy no matter day or night. It would be great if smoking was only allowed on the outdoor decks of the ship. There are alot of people allergic to smoke as I am.

Pros: Everything was great! The food was excellent

Cons: Everyone in the rooms around us smoked. The smoke hit us in the face when we opened our door.

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
The Ice Show was excellent. Also, there were two comedians that were hillarious.

Service and Staff
We had one male stateroom attendant on our hall that was very snobbish. You could speak to him and he totaled ignored you. He seemed mad and very unhappy.
