Just got back from Sept. 2 sailing of the Mariner. We have sailed on this ship MANY times - there is a reason - GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! In our busy worlds, where I'm sure I can not remember a strangers name (on any given day), to save my life - each staff member seems to remember hundreds of names, faces,
likes & dislikes - on a weekly basis. The Mariner staff emanates warmth, compassion and zest for their jobs. This cruise was blessed with a large number of retired passengers - all having life stories to tell - all made to feel as if theirs was the only story that mattered - for that moment. ANY AGE or STAGE in your life - this will truly be a memorable cruise to discover.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We enjoy the Windjammer for ALL meals - except a few nights... a MUST...
CHOPS GRILL - TOP NOTCH!!!!! We leave a ADDITIONAL cash tip - the waiters recieve the entire tip that way to spilt between 2 not 7. Don't get me wrong - the dinning rooms are Great - but the food in the Windjammer is great, if you do not want to stick to a time frame.

This cruise PREVIEWED the new FRONT ROW SHOW/singers/dancers. Somewhat random songs - hard to connect the dots - however; ENJOYABLE SHOW.
BINGO - purchase your bingo dog for extra jackpot cards - its worth it!
The Schooner Piano Bar is tucked away BEHIND the Casino beside the Drangons Lair Nightclub - check it out - Dan the Piano Man does a Great job.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff in ALL areas - HAPPY - HELPFULL & GREAT to be around.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout of ship is easy to remember and always clean. Public restrooms with the oceanview are the best.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We enjoy the INSIDE cabins for RELAXING - you can get caught up on your sleep - rooms are 24/7 dark if desired. Bed comforter heavy - ask for blanket. Plenty of room in closets - we always over-pack. Hairdryer in cabin does the trick - even for long hair! Previous cruise - we enjoyed the Promenade cabins - this is an inside room WITH a huge picture window OVERLOOKING the promenade - great for kids - there is a built in bench - cozy up with a book!
Balconies are very peaceful - ocean air.
