The Mariner of the Seas is a stunningly beautiful ship. Our favorite passtime was at sunset, strolling along the cedarwood railing overlooking the ocean down on deck 4 which encircles the ship, it wasn't crowded, just romantic and beautiful. The ship is so large that you are guaranteed to find a little favorite hideaway from the throngs up on deck 12. Another great feature is the Windjammer cafe on Deck 13 aft which had incredible international varieties of great food 24/7 if you didn't want to go to the main dining hall, or were just looking for a quick lunch. It has a 360-degree view of the ocean from 120 feet up! Amazing.
There is more to do on the Mariner than can possibly be done in one trip. It is among the largest cruise-ships in the world. It has ice-skating, rock-climbing, swimming, mini-golf, basketball, a jogging track, aerobics and weight gyms, spas, pools, hot-tubs, night-clubs, casinos, arcades, theaters, live music by the pools, a 6-story promenade shopping mall, and an enormous breath-taking main dining room decorated with chandeleirs and mahogany the likes of which you can't even imagine but to see it. I'm only scratching the surface here. You've got to experience this ship to believe it.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Nothing short of spectacular. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive in the main dining room, and the Windjammer cafe up on deck 13 was our favorite for breakfast and lunch because of the great food and spectacular view.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As I said before, there is something for everyone, and there isn't enough time to do it all. There are a million options, a million possibilities. This is a huge ship with a huge capacity for fun.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The have the adventure ocean program for kids and teens to keep them entertained while mom and dad get some private time. We didn't use them, though.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Royal Caribbean is world-renowned for its service. It's their outstanding customer service that sets them apart. We were treated like royalty from the moment we boarded to the day we disembarked for home. They WILL spoil you rotten. I ABSOLUTELY love this cruise line and their people.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is the most incredible vessel I have ever seen. It truly has something for everyone. It was clean, tidy, well-kept, sanitary, well-decorated and very, very spacious, like a floating city.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The rooms are quite small, and you have to shove two twin-beds together to make a queen, there wasn't quite enough room for our luggage, BUT with the gentle rocking of the ship it was the best sleep I've had in quite a while. The showers are GREAT! Rolling doors instead of shower curtains.

Pros: The incredible service on a beautiful ship

Cons: Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Not a pretty city, wish they would skip Jamaica.

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!
