Overall, there was pros and cons when comparing to other cruise lines we're used to traveling with. The pros was that it definitely is a PARTY ship. Leaving to start cruise was THE BEST. WE LOVED it!! THE MUSIC WAS THE BOMB!! WE LOVED IT. Food was better in certain parts of the ship. We LOVED GUYS on deck 17 but it closed too early. The shows on the ship was OK not Broadway shows we're used to on Royal. Only certain parts of the ships was pretty like the Mirrored staircase and The Swaying Flower Garden. My husband loved being on Deal or No Deal but prizes NEED to be better and not used as credits. Need to step up non drink package drinks for passengers who select to not buy the drink package. All of the staircases LACK pretty art work like Royal has. need larger area in Casino for non smokers. Add Sausage pizza on Deck 8? even if it's for one night. Add cheesecake as one of the dessert options in The Market Place buffet cafeteria. I don't think we'll travel on The Mardi but maybe we'll give it another go later in the future on a different ship. To say politely, it was a lot of not so nice-looking people on the ship and some of the teenagers were out of control. No parenting.. The elevators are too small, especially with a disabled person in a wheelchair. Elevators took a long time and even passed us a few times when there was no one on it. Bathrooms were hard to find and only had 2 stalls when it should have been at least 6. There was always a wait line to even get into the bathrooms. Hot tubs not handicapped friendly to even get in so we skipped it.

Just not happy with our first family trip back to cruising after 4 years and Covid. Ship layout was weird and too many people on it. Understaffed? Appeared so. A lot of LITTLE things just got to me and I was ready to go home after 3 days of our 7 day trip. Which is terrible considering I've done 10 days on a smaller NCL ship and didn't want to get off. Just disheartening for the first one back. I hate having to use the APP for everything. I typically reserve my phone just for photos on vacation. Even with the amount of food venues and choices, variety and quality just wasn't up to par. I don't want to be a debbie-downer but this ship just didn't meet expectations--I won't be going back on this one.

I go on vacation to relax and meet new people so I try not to look at the negative side of things while on vacation because I could always be at work. There were a lot of kids on this sailing and a lot of parents who forgot how to be parents while on the cruise. Kids where running all over the place and almost knocked on women down. (Unattended). Adults letting kids just run wild. I get it you paid for them to enjoy a vacation as well but I can assure you others paid more and deserve to enjoy theirs too. Some parents were on top of of their game which was nice to see and hear.

Overall, we enjoyed so much of what Mardi Gras had to offer. They have a lot of places to eat so there were not long wait times for food. You have to get used to the layout of the ship and how its different from traditional carnival ships. For those who are first timers on the Mardi Gras, I would recommend watching a youtube video of the ship.

We loved this cruise and loved the big ship. We liked the large ship so much we are looking at going on another Excel class ship with Carnival. There’s plenty to do and a lot to see.

I prefer the smaller class ship cause the customer service seems a lot better. However, I had such an amazing time that I wasn't that bothered by it. The only other issue I could find was that for such a bigger boat, the venues seem to be about the same size as the smaller class ship, but now there are 3x the amount of people trying to get in the same place

Loved all the food options and loved my cabin. The ship is an amazing ship with so much to do and so many different places to hang out.

The cruise was great. It was hard to learn the ship, because it was so huge, but there are maps around to guide you. The elevators are very small compared to other carnival ships.

We enjoyed everything about this ship. Wide variety of food choices. The shows were great. Casino has plenty of room. Great time!

Too many people with too much alcohol and poor ports. If I had it to do over again, I'd choose a cruise with different ports. I can only blame myself for choosing this particular cruise.

I was pleased with how efficient everything was despite being such a massive ship.

Generally had a great time. The ship is fantastic and very big. We didn’t ride Bolt because one had to reserve a time slot and come back. The Hub app was very helpful in scheduling food and entertainment. You have to be ok with crowds because it’s so hard to find a seat. There are so many guests that have no consideration of others. They walk in front of you , they stop in the pathways and check their phones and are simply rude. No fault of the ship but it’s awful frustrating when you’re trying to make your way. Look out for people on scooters. They’re everywhere. It seems they were either overbooked or the paths are too narrow. The ship was clean and super nice otherwise.

I must say we had a wonderful time .I loved the entertainment venue, especially on the center stage. We also loved all the restaurants we ate in all of them. This was the only cruise I did not get go to the coffee bar and get a cappuccino funny how you miss the simple things.

Overall- great time! We had a blast and would do it again!

Was great for visiting with friends. Other than drinking and bar hoping not much to do.

This was our first cruise ever. We went with my husband's 3 siblings and their spouses. We had the early dinning. Ship was beautiful. So much to see and do. So many places to eat at with a great variety of foods. Staff was pleasant and professional. Ship was clean and tidy. We will book the Mardi Gras again to finish seeing, doing, and eating everthing!

Great ship , great people , great crew , great food and drinks. Just a great time on my first carnival cruise
