Review summary

We loved our vacation and would happily sail on Mardi Gras again. Although we'd try to do different ports.

Embarkation

Fast and painless embarkation process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of choice on this ship. So many options, it would be impossible to try everything. We enjoyed the dining overall.

Palm Restaurant

5 out of 5

Incredible service from the friendliest and hardest working people! Every meal we had was excellent!

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

Still the best burgers at sea!

Big Chicken by Shaq

5 out of 5

Love big chicken! Delicious sandwiches and excellent breakfasts! Pro tip: Big Chicken makes omelettes so you don't have to wait as long as the omelette stations in Marketplace.

Redfrog Tiki Bar

5 out of 5

Love the 2 level Tiki bar!

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse

5 out of 5

The Pig & Anchor melt is among my all-time favorite meals! The venue itself is large with a cool vibe. Definitely a highlight of the ship.

Fortune Teller Bar

5 out of 5

My favorite bar on the ship! This is a must-do for anyone who enjoys a cocktail!

Alchemy Bar

5 out of 5

Delicious drinks concocted by truly amazing bartenders. So much fun!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
No shortage of things to do on Mardi Gras!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Backyard Band was the highlight of the cruise for me! M Theory and The Broadway show both fell way short of expectations. The comedians were great! Love that there's 2 comedy venues in this ship.

BOLT Ultimate Sea Coaster

5 out of 5

So much fun!

Mardi Gras Theater

3 out of 5

It's a theatre. Nothing really special. Lacks the grandeur of other Carnival theatres. Be careful on the stairs! The lighting and configuration of the steps is a bit of a mind trick.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The roomiest cabin we've ever had. The balcony has no cover and lacks privacy. Also cannot look down at the water from here.

Ship tip

Watch your step!! There are numerous tripping hazards throughout the ship.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Not much to say. We don't explore Port Canaveral. It's just a place to get on and off the ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Of all the ports we've ever been to, Nassau has the most aggressive and pushy people trying to get you into their taxi/shop/bar/etc. Feels unclean.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

San Juan, Puerto Rico
