Review summary

Carnival cruise fans must sail on this masterpiece of a ship. Keep an open mind like we did and then choose your favorite class of ships like we did. We sailed on the Elation the following week and appreciated what they both represented. Very disappointed with the lack of appreciation of platinum and diamond members. The VIFP meant very little on this ship with only a glass of dry wine or soft drink. The VIFP pin had to be chased down in the Pics area along with a cheap luggage tag. The pin my wife lives to collect had no ship designation or the VIFP logo.

Embarkation

Platinum members have no priority over normal passenger. You will need to stand in lines assigned to check in time such as 11:00 - 11:30 etc. once inside if you are organized with proper documentation for identification and vaccination records things go pretty quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
So many places to eat that you can always find so to your liking. Some restaurants require check in on the Carnival Hub so make sure you download the app. My favorite was Chibangs.

Onboard Activities

So much going on that a person can stay busy if they want.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As you enter the ship during embarrassment you will notice a stage on the right on deck six. At first I thought little of it but during the cruise it was a wonderful place to see so much entertainment. Our favorite was while walking through you could watch dress rehearsals of bands, dancers and other entertainers preparing for the evenings venues. Try outs were held here for the evenings Family Fued show scheduled later in the main theater. Don’t miss the show as the set looks just like the one on TV. Great entertainment throughout the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Seems to be a little understaffed but they did a great job. Always cleaning and very friendly

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I would rate the ships cleanliness very good or all Five Stars. Beautiful! The ship is so large that you always seem to be waiting on an elevator if you are located mid ship between deck 10 thru 15. Don’t understand why the elevator so small with a passenger capacity of 6,500. Makes zero sense to me especially when you have so many electric carts on board. One handy cap cart and 4 standing passers all one elevator with hold. Passenger cabins are about the same but the bathrooms are way too small. The showers are greatly improved but ship had little water pressure. Bathroom lighting was well thought out as a nightlife would laminate when main light was off. I also really liked th new designed sliding glass door on the balcony cabins.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bathroom too small and the bath tissue hard to reach. Shower was very nice and I liked the night light

Ship tip

Most activities are on deck 8 and 16. Prepare to walk and wait for elevates they are way too small.
