Review summary

Wonderful vacation and memorable ship and trip. Pristine ship with mostly great amenities.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
With airline delays, missing the shuttle, and an U er driver who got lost, we embarked at 3:05 pm with awesome ship personnel who got us through the process fast. We arrived at our cabin as muster was being called!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There were so many, it took all cruise to visit them all. We thought the food selection in the MDR was less than before, but always tasted delicious. LOVED the fries at Big Chicken, and Shaq’s sandwiches were great. Great addition! Chi and offers Mexican and Chinese cuisine, and wish their menu changed day to day.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Bolt was incredible!! This rollercoaster went almost 40 mph, and the 2 times around the track took 50 seconds. Exhilarating!! And my husband and I are in our 60’s! Enjoyed the rope course and walking track, too. Lots of hot tubs to choose from…perfect temps. Enjoyed Dive-In movies in Lido.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Saw a few of the shows and the acting snd singing g was fabulous. The lights shows, music, and videography with these shows was outstanding!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If we chatted with a staff member once, he or she remembered our names! Loved our steward Fuji, who delivered our bucket of ice faithfully.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
In 7 days, we truly never figured out which deck many activities were on, until we checked the maps by the elevators. We were used to a general format from the earlier ships, and this once changed most of that. But we did lots of walking and that’s good. Thanks

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
This cabin was small. Bathroom seemed half the size of other ships’. Less walk-room. Storage was ample. The balcony was very small. Great decor, comfortable bed and covers. Nice tv.

Ship tip

Keep you phone handy and keep the Hub open. Still wish for the FunTimes, but I’m sure that will never return.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Did not book an excursion, but was stopped outside to do a $25 pp City Tour by bus. It was nice with a few stops. Worth the money.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Loved this port, and booked a Dolphin Encounter at OceanWorld! Highly recommended at go to this marina, to see sharks, birds, dolphins and sea lions, and see their shows. This is a must-do!!!

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
No excursion. Lots of walking and shopping. Nassau port is under construction and will be amazing g when it is complete.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Early flight, so carried our luggage off. Met in MDR prior to leaving, and the process was easy.

Appreciate your feedback. Not happy with the apparent move by Carnival to go smaller with the cabins. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
