Mardi Gras does not live up to the hype it’s a nice ship to spread out the layout is terrible the Casino was great because it’s non-smoking in most of it that was

The Buffay on the Mardi Gras is much smaller than other ships not as many choices same with the salad bar shacks chicken was just OK I didn’t care for the chicken fries were great guys burgers they have change the french fries they are not like they used to be I don’t like those Cucina was amazing guys pig and anchor at night was amazing for dinner shebang is overrated I would rather have Mongolian wok

Lots of same old same old trivia the roller coasters $15 for two times around my husband didn’t think it was worth it the magician was terrible the shows were just regular shows I did not like that people were elbow to elbow and there was no social distancing and mask enforcement was not there except in the casino

The fact that the Casino staff were in forcing that you could not smoke if you weren’t actively playing was great the fact that the ship is divided so non-smoking is one side and smoking is the other was amazing it was awesome to sit down at a slot machine and not have to get up and move because someone sits next to you smoking cigarettes it was amazing best Casino ever and the staff were announcing that you must wear your mask and the casino staff or amazing

I actually be may be the minority I did not care for the Mardi Gras I did not care for the layout that everything is so spread out if you want a pizza and a salad you have to go to deck eight for your pizza deck 16 to get a salad same with anything else if you want to different items you gotta go to different places on the ship it’s it’s not a good layout and then you got the customer service desk between the pizza and the guys picking anchor it makes no sense to me

The rooms on the Mardi Gras are smaller they are more narrow and the bathroom was much smaller you do have a glass door now for the shower instead of cloth shower curtain but the toilet area is a lot more narrow it’s a lot smaller the bathroom is tiny if you’re a bigger person you’re going to have issues in the bathroom
Ship tip
If you’re a bigger person you may want to get a suite because the bathrooms in the breakout room balcony and the interior rooms because we took the room tours from our group are much smaller much smaller
This was our first time to Amber Cove it was beautiful I wish we had booked an excursion we are going back in December and we will do an excursion it’s a beautiful island
Nassau is our least favorite port of any port we did not get off the ship this time we’ve been to this port many times it’s dirty it’s nasty we do not like Nassau at all most people did not get off the ship
Seems some aspects of your cruise missed the mark. Unfortunate you have such a poor opinion of Nassau. I've seen other reviews where people loved their cruise, but weren't thrilled with the Mardi Gras's layout. Hopefully you'll have a better cruise experience next time.
