Absolutely amazing! We love the Mardi Gras and are looking forward to our next cruise on her next year.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our arrival appointment was 11:30-12:00. We arrived at 11:00 and were allowed in. It was a long line but it moved fairly quickly. After our health verification was complete we had to wait for our boarding group to be called but we were still on board and eating lunch by noon.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Absolutely loved the specialty dining venues! Chibang, Cucina del Capitano, Guys Pig and Anchor and Fahrenheit 555 all lived up to the hype. Loved the Alchemy, the double decker Red Frog Tiki and the Brass Magnolia bars. The Fortune Teller bar had some unique drinks that were fun to order once but it wasn’t one of our favorites.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Plenty to do with all the deck parties, shows and trivia contests but we chose to relax by the pools and at Serenity pretty much the whole week. Serenity was amazing although for its size the pool located there was small and very crowded. We loved the seating options including both shaded and sunny cozy spots.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our service everywhere was top notch and it was obvious that the crew was happy to be back on board.
Ship Quality

One word…AMAZING!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Definitely smaller than previous balcony cabins we have had on other ships. The bed and sofa in alternating cabins are recessed in so that cuts off some square footage in each room and the balcony was narrower. The bathroom felt like an airplane lavatory with a shower but the shower was a definite improvement over other ships. The glass door was a good addition and the shower itself seemed slightly larger. Storage was ample. The bed was a bit firm but that’s to be expected since it’s a new ship and has had little use.
Ship tip
If you plan to do specialty dining and like to eat early, sign up for Anytime/Your Time Dining. These guests get priority over the assigned dining guests.
We didn’t get off the ship this cruise but it’s a wonderful port with a beautiful free beach just a short walk from the ship. Beautiful port to be docked in because you are surrounded by the island.
We did the self-assist because we had a long drive home. Don’t plan on getting an elevator for this. Absolutely none were available. The actual debarkation was very quick and efficient. We were off the ship, through customs (just a brief face recognition stop) and on the road in less than 30 minutes.
Relaxing by the pool all week sounds fine to me! Some cruises I'm definitely more active than others, I have a great time either way. Glad you had an enjoyable cruise.
