Review summary
This cruise was packed!!!! Especially the casinos. I can’t imagine when it’s running at full capacity. Had to stay extra vigilant with our safety protocols. When we were on the Magic it was a ghost town. Had a great time didn’t even get a chance to see the rollercoaster on deck 18. We probably won’t book again unless we get an incredible deal or they lower the capacity. Have to give them time to get the kinks worked out. They need to master the art of serving well seasoned food and delivering that food hot to the table. This was the cruise director last cruise and they didn’t announce who was taking his place. He did a pretty good job.Embarkation

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse
Guys pig & anchor food- this stuff was awful!! My ribs were over cooked looked like they had been sitting awhile!! The smoked cheddar sausage had a strange taste to it, unsure if I should eat it? The sliced brisket was good just a little cold. The coleslaw was awful never had warm coleslaw!! The Mac and cheese was decent, the greens beans were great and the French fries were cold and salty. The pulled pork was good and so were the baked beans. The chicken was alright, it must have not been too good my daughter played with it. This is my second time eating at pig & anchor and it will be my last. I would have been extremely upset and demand a refund if we have to pay.

First off let me say our serving staff was great! It’s just that some of the food is awful and cold! Order Pescado Frito, queso fundido ,Kung Pao Chicken and beef and broccoli. Skip everything else!!! We ate here on the first night, I didn’t know this was the precursor for awful food to come. It takes forever for your food to come and it’s lukewarm when it arrives and cold after 5 mins.
Lido Marketplace
What does it take to get a hot plate of food around here??? How is food sitting under heated lights and a hot plate be ice cold when you sit down?? The food quality has gone down since the cruise lock down! I saw a lot of plates full of uneaten food on the tables in the marketplace! It was neat to see the self serving soda machines. I believe for non drank plans it’s only 21 cents an once.
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse
Steakhouse never disappoints but couldn’t give it 5-stars due to my wife steak being extremely dry with not enough seasoning. I have heard complain like this in a long time. My daughter and I steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Guy's Burger Joint
Burgers was better than on the Carnival Magic and I believe the fries are different.
Cucina del Capitano
Service was kinda slow, had 3 different servers check on us. It wasn't until the last one that things started to happen. She brought us some bread and 3 1.5 liters bottles of water. Not sure if it because we're gold members? And we haven't received are free waters yet. She did ask if was our first time here? Not sure about the waters but hey it saved us a trip for going to a bar and asking for them. Without feeling obligated to tip. A very long wait for Lukewarm food!! I believe there is not enough staff for the amount of people on the ship. The chicken Parmesan and braised short ribs both with noodles carbonara were delicious!! I don’t fault the staff they were constantly checking on us.

Pizza was great except long lines on some nights!
Palm Restaurant
Ate here on seaday brunches due to most places ending breakfast at 10:30am. That’s about the time we woke up. Love those round hash browns!!!

Really interesting food offerings, of the couple of times we went only one dish was ok!

Excellent come here for hot delicious food!!
Bonsai Teppanyaki
Had a wonderful time and the food was great. Really like how the chefs performed at the same time, feeding off each other. Our chef crack some truly funny jokes.
Big Chicken by Shaq
Never had a disappointing meal!! Food was always hot and delicious.

Mardi Gras Theater
Very nice place the seats are a little tight if your fluffy or big boned. Watched Family Feud and the magic show in here and it was a great experience. The musical were ok it looks like they pulled performers from other ships and threw them together. Now go sing and dance, they were 100 times better than the Magic performers!!

Ship tip
One dings means down and two dings mean up when waiting for an elevator. People will jump ahead of you and close the door right in your face. Arrived at least 30 minutes early for bingo and deal or no deal if you want a great seat. While waiting you can go to the cafe on deck 6 and gets yourself some free food. You don’t have to go all the way to the lido deck.
