Excellent older ship with awesome staff by Bishop2019

This is a great cruise for the money. Yes it is an older ship without all the bells and whistles but the cleanliness and the crew made up for it. The crew was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. A smaller ship was better for us this time since we brought our parents and another family we were with had limited mobility issues.

Relaxing by littlejmarx5312

Enjoyed the ship, but it was small and only one pool. Excursions were too long a drive from port. Must remember not to book during spring break again!

50TH BDAY CRUISE by sveleda

Nice but dated cruise ship. It was a great cruise. The ports visited were awesome! Cuba was very nice-takes lots of cash-no credit cards in Cuba. Can convert $ when you embark off the ship. Buy Cigars and Rum from authorized vendors-not local street people.

Quick Mexican Getaway! by navira22

You get what you pay for. This cruise was inexpensive. The boat was small and dated, as the rooms -however it didn't feel small when you were on it. Due to pricing I think a lot of Spring Breakers/first timers were on it.

Good and not so good by BobMonaco

Day of Departure… We showed up 3 hours early and still 2-1/2 hours in a hot no air movement concrete building in line to get on board. 20 counters available to check in but only 8 were maned. (open). Could have gotten there 20 minutes before departure and wouldn’t have to been waiting at all. Didn't like the disorganization...one example was.. booked our group of 10 (5 Rooms) all at the same time together. Yet we were all scheduled for dinner at different times in different dining rooms. They made it a big deal, very troublesome and uncomfortable in correcting this so we could have dinner together as planned. We were very polite with our request yet they made us feel like we were the problem. Took an excursion to Royal Caribbean's private Island. They said it included your meal plan. There was total disorganization in the lines to get your food. no one directing people. One line had a 30-minute-long wait, while no one knew there was a other line on the other side with only a few people in it. After all that wait your choice of food was hot dogs and hamburgers, rice, tinny pieces of fish. Really, we are in the Caribbean and get Hot dogs and hamburgers as a choice of meats??? To make it worse.. they couldn't keep up with the demand. Sometimes you waited in front of an item for up to 10 minutes while waiting for them to refill the serving pans. than to only get Cold Food! Then there are the tables, where you sit and eat, surrounded by garbage cans to throw out you dinning items. Think about it... its 84 degrees and your sitting surrounded by garbage cans... nothing but flies ! No one was comfortable eating while waving the flies away as they landed on your food. Didn't like that the last night of the cruise that many bars and restaurants closed early or limited service. The Cruise was till 7:00 am return to port yet by 9:00 pm the night before many locations on the ship closed or the common items were not available any more. (certain wines they didn't have open they wouldn't open, took apart the frozen drink machines so that wasn't available. many other things changed). I Guess what I’m saying is that the Last 10 hours of the cruise, was not the cruise experience. it was just a boat ride. Wondering if it was just this ship or the Cruise Line. May not want to find out…..

Exceptional service on board by Katealeks

First cruise and exceeded our expectations. It is simple and rooms are not very big but you don’t spend a lot of time in the room. Shows were not bad, nothing special but entertainy enough. Service was exception especially in the dining room. Dinner Food was amazing and fancy. Best escargot I ve ever had. We loved the adventure kid club. We have a 3,5 year old and that was super nice to be able to leave her there and to know that she loved it. She wanted to come back every night. It was also super awesome to know you can leave kids till late if you need it. Ship and our room was always clean. I think our room was cleaned three times a day and they would leave cool towel made animals that our daughter loved, it was kind of a fun surprise every evening after diner for her. We really liked the first port Coco Cay, beautiful beach and food and drinks with drink package are included all day. Freeport was super simple and didn’t impress us that much. Nassau had lots of different excursions and options to do. Overall we loved it so much that we already booked another cruise.

Havana Experience... by kaspm13

This is a truly once in a lifetime cruise. The Cuban people are very friendly and the country is a must see. Take the Classic Car excursion and a Night club jazz show excursion. It’s easy to convert money at the port in Havana and walking the streets is a wonderful thing to do.

We're Hooked on Royal Caribbean! by 229king

We've been on Royal Caribbean many times before but for the last 3 cruises we opted for Princess and Celebrity. We decided to try RCCL again because we really liked the itinerary. Boy, I don't know why we ever left RCCL. The service, food was outstanding. We are sticking to RCCL for our future cruise vacations!!!

Our cruise to Cuba was great. It was a much older crowd so I wouldn’t advise taking the kids, but there was still enough for them to do.

The boat is old but well maintained and clean. Staff is very friendly. I would improve food quality. Also cocktails could have better presentation. Overall we had a great time.

Interesting Visit to Havana by oldshawnee

Verified Review
/ Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

This was a trip to Havana, Cuba. We booked an all day tour through Royal Caribbean. The tour included a good lunch (with 2 drinks at no charge) and an experience of getting instruction on the proper way to light and enjoy a Cuban cigar (with each person provided a cigar, rum and coffee). We walked around the old town for the entire morning and were bussed to Columbus Cemetery, saw some old cars, Morrow Castle and the Christ of Havana statue. Unfortunately, the experience was severely marred by a tour guide who stopped us at 4 cigar stores, had a very thick accent, and worst of all, seemed not to have thought through what she planned to say at each stop. I conferring with others on board, we discovered that if properly vetted, hiring a private guide is the far better way to get a first class tour of Havana.
