Review summary

This was my second cruise. It was shorter, and on a different ship, but still first class. The ship was mostly clean, and the staff "smiley" and very helpful. The room was small, which I expected, and our porter made it look as clean and large as he could daily. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just right (not too strong, not too weak). Suggestions: I had looked at sites for recommendations and hints since my last cruise was over 20 years ago. Someone suggested a power strip. DO NOT BRING A POWER STRIP. It will be confiscated and your bag delivery delayed like mine was. Bring a plug with multiple ports for phone chargers instead. Our room had 2 outlets only. Also-bring a blow dryer. One was not provided. Another suggestion: get the drink (alcohol) package. Sooo worth it. We got our money back twice over daily, and we didn't really drink that much.

Embarkation

We had no issues boarding. Just have your passport out. Also, get a lanyard for your card. You can either put it in a sleeve, or have a hole punched in the card itself so it's readily available.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did my time dining which was fine. We were placed with the same awesome server even though we ate at different times. The only downfall was that you physically had to walk to the dining room to make the reservation. It would've been easier to make a call. The food was delicious, and if you didn't like it, you just ordered something else. The buffet food was also excellent, as well as the pizza parlor.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
They all looked great, but we didn't utilize anything.

Entertainment

We didn't attend any shows, etc.

Children's Programs

We had no kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter Sudi was the best. Really, we had no complaints about anyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The shower looked a bit old, and the windows were a bit hard to look clearly out of, but I'm not sure exactly what could've been done about that. Other than that it was fine.

Ship tip

DO NOT BRING A POWER STRIP. IT WILL BE CONFISCATED. Store your suitcases under your bed. It made more room.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
We only used the port to arrive and depart.

Nassau, Bahamas

We went to Blue Lagoon Beach. It was perfect. The city itself was pretty sketchy looking, so we didn't go around exploring.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
We sat our butts on the beach. And it was perfect. Royal did a great job with feeding us while on the island. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough rum in their coco locos lol.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Piece of cake. No over waiting.

Would not reach

Its weird they took you power strip, are you it did have a surge protector, if it had one built in they would take it. We take the ordinary $3-5 power strips and never had a problem. In fact with out one my CPAP would reach the bed from the plug, they would have to provide an extension cord.
