Overall pleasant experience of 1st cruise.๐ Will definitely like to continue and visit other ports๐ We have sailed on Merchant ships for years as my husband is a professional seaman. Would like to take cruise to Alaska. Also look forward to be at the Captains table for dinner and discuss features, as my husband has sailed as a Master on Panamic vessels for years.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was pleasant. Though the line was long it moved fast as the staff was efficient.
However, the reception was a bit disappointing. Lines were too long, staff short and very slow from time of embarkation and throughout the cruise. Mainly interested in selling the drink and internet packages. Needs attention. Excursion counter was usually closed and we landed up missing our pre booked excursion as tickets were not provided to our suite.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The buffets were regularly refilled. Food was ample. Quality of food was good on most cases.
Restaurant staff at buffet and dining were very professional and courteous.
Restaurant areas need uplift and cleanliness. The tables were too close together and the carpets smelled. Needs some effort in that area.
Onboard Activities

Watched shows, casino, pool activities, spa, photo auction.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our suite attendant Eugene was very good. Anytime we walked out, he was in the alley way cleaning rooms. Was always available and pleasant to deal with.
Staff at buffet Mr. Peter and serving staff at dining Jonard and Renold were very professional and made us feel at home.
Ship Quality

Dining, buffet areas need uplift. Arpets need to be cleaned and shampooed regularly as they do smell. Tea and beverage areas need to be cleaner.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, comfortable. Always fresh n neat. The electric jug in the cabins however need to be checked. It would take forever to heat the water although it was small 2 cup.
Disappointing. We booked the Nassau essential. Rum cake factory was the little shop where they only sold the cakes. We did not see the making process.
Rum distillery was again verbal introduction, the walk across to distillery was not covered (not accessible due to rain). No description or method was explained as to how the rum is made or any details. Most interested in serving drinks at a charge or selling rum bottles. It was more of a bus tour.
We chose to take our luggage with us and walk out as our transport was fixed for 8am. It was a commotion going down. Elavators were packed, the lobby on 4th deck terribly packed. No set process. Rather disappointing process.
I trust your cabin accommodations were a little better on this cruise than the Merchant's cabins? Alaska is truly a beautiful cruise location. Best wishes on your future cruises.
