Review Summary

The shore excursions of snorkling on Rainbow Reef in Nassau was great.  Our shore excursions in Coco Cay were cancelled due to high winds, but the island was beautiful and relaxing.  The food on board was of poor quality, like hospital or cafeteria food.  I had chicken marsala one night which consisted of instant mashed potatoes, two chicken fingers, all covered with canned gravy.  Yuch.  The sky-high lemon merangue pie listed on the menu came to the table as a small 2 inch wide by 1 inch high small lemon tart with no merangue.  How disappointing.  The entertainment on board was good.

Housekeeper Melvin was excellent. We had two rooms and each room was clean.

Ship Tip

Don't get any expectations up about the food because the food quality is poor. The entertainment, rooms, and the staff are good.

Be prepared to be asked by lots of islanders to buy a variety of homemade goods immediately upon disembarking downtown. Hold your purse tightly. Crowded. Try to find the local fishermen selling conch salad from small boats near the cruise ships. This delicacy is worth every penny and is super fresh from the sea.
