Good - not Great

Sail Date: September 19, 2016

Reviewed: 2 months ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

My favorite part of the cruise was sailing on the ship, and going to the private island of COCOCAY.  The water and beach at COCOCAY were beautiful.  The water was crystal clear, and the resort area was very well maintained.

Our room was sufficient, and was kept up very nicely by Del.  He was so very kind and always had a smile on his face, and was so very helpful - always answering every question, and greeting us with a smile.   Meeting Del was our second favorite part of the cruise.

The ship was nice, clean, and very well maintained.

The smoking in the casino was annoying.

The gentleman that played the electric guitar in the lounge was outstanding.

He was our third favorite.  We would have liked to hear more.

The comedy and other shows were very good, and the MC - Mark was very good and funny.

Overall we would recommend this cruise to others - but will also talk to them about the food.

Food and Dining
The food was not outstanding. It was more like buffet food most of the time.

The desserts were delicious, but the main course meals in the evenings were not so great. The salads were good, the breads were good, but the main courses were not even average. We had steak one night, and couldn't eat it. It was tough, and had a very bad taste. Another night we had fried fish - which was mostly batter, with one scallop and two shrimp. Not what I would call a very good portion of food. The drinks were very expensive. A coke cost $3.54 each. at dinner. That is so outrageous.

Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Awesome resort site.
Nassau, Bahamas
Not what I expected. Too many people begging for you to buy from them. Most of the items for sale were junky - not even from the area, but very overpriced.
