Majest of the Sucks - DON'T DO IT!

Sail Date: April 20, 2015

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This ship is old & needs to be retired.  Do not pay for a cruise on this ship.  Food was mediocre; entertainment was just ok.  We missed our stop in Key West b/c the ship was leaking oil, so we had a "sea day" on a tiny ship w/ 3,000 people.  It was nearly impossible to get a chair or sit in the pool w/o touching a stranger.  The Bahamas are nothing special & smells like urine as soon as you get off the ship.  The souvenirs are expensive & total crap!  CocoCay was ok, but you had to pay for ever single thing...  If they're going to force you to their island, they can at least offer some activities that you don't have to pay for.  Extremely disappointed.  This was my first Royal Caribbean experience & I have to say, I'd do Carnival again in a heartbeat!  The service/food was comparable & you can get a balcony for about thesame price as sailing w/ RC.

The bottom drawer contained garbage from the previous passengers.

Add a tip. What was your favorite thing to do here?
Nassau, Bahamas
dirty, smelly & expensive. the public beach (although littered w/ straws) was ok; the water was absolutely beautiful.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
If you wanted to do any activities, you had to pay for them. We couldn't even get a life preserver w/o booking an activity. If you force someone to go to the beach, at least provide a life preserver for free!
Key West, Florida
Didn't get to stop there b/c the ship was leaking oil. This was the only place I was excited about going to & we missed it. Total disappointment.

It's old and small. Only two onboard shops, tiny pools, impossible to get a chair on a sea day. DON'T DO IT!
