Every crew member we met on the Majesty was awesome. They really made this cruise better than I expected. The activities on the ship were great, we ended up watching all the shows, the belly flop and sexiest man competitions, as well as the adult 'game shows', and we enjoyed all of them.
Royal Caribbean's private island Coco Cay was beautiful, chairs and hammocks are set up for use around the island, and the cruise had a BBQ buffet set up for lunch. The water is very clear and great for snorkeling.
Nassau has had it rough since Hurricane Sandy. When we were there the port authority building was being remodeled and many of the shops in town had been closed down. Also the ship docked in Nassau on a Sunday which means that museums and shops are either closed or most shops opened late morning. Royal Caribbean also notified us that crimes against tourists had been on the rise and to remain in the tourist areas and to avoid wearing expensive jewelry and carrying lots of large bills (you can always get smaller bills in the casino before you leave the ship). That being said we didn't have any problem. There are also new large hotels being built on the west part of the island that will open soon, not sure what they will offer but might be worth a look. Atlantis is across the bridge on the next island over and you can get a cab ride for $4/person (as of March 2015). You can walk around the hotel for free, but to go out back for the aquarium and beach you will need a day pass, and there are other excursions that include the water slides. Atlantis beach pass is $69/person and the additional attraction passes are upwards of $100/person. The public beach is a couple blocks from Atlantis and you could walk there from Atlantis or take a cab directly to and from there. The beach and water are beautiful and there are people selling chairs and umbrellas, coconut drinks, banana boat rides, and even massages. There are also ferry rides from the ports to paradise island and dolphin and sea lion excursion packages available from the cruise line.
Overall we had a great time and we would choose this cruise again!
