Having been on Royal Caribbean only once before (Mediterranean) and having been greatly disappointed, I had sworn I would never sail this line again. However, European family members came to town (in Florida) and this cruise was the only one that met time and price requirements, so we gave it a try. It was better than expected given our previous experience, and was a decent value for the price. Food was much improved over previous experience, but still not exciting. Niceties present on other cruise lines were nowhere to be seen, such as toiletries, chocolates on the pillow, midnight buffets, etc. you are tied to dining room times unless you pay extra for flexibility. Spa prices are exhorbitant!  On the plus side, service was excellent and activities were plentiful. Overall, it was a pleasant trip, but I still prefer other cruise lines such as NCL and HAL.
