Mgmt & crew work hard to "get it right"

Sail Date: June 23, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Experience of Mgmt & crew paying attention to rooms & food service & entertainment makes for a great cruise.   Only suggestions for improvement are:  a) sit down dinner service nice, however, in effort to serve around 2,600 people the food when it actually arrived in front of us was most often barely warm (took too long to get from kitchen to table), and b) if you are a water drinker be advised you will have to pay $2 a bottle for water anywhere/everywhere on the ship.

Ship Quality
older ship but well maintained (we could see crews at work while cruising).
Food and Dining
Buffet breakfast & lunch terrific - sit down dinners arrive "barely warm".
Service and Staff
every time we came back to cabin it was cleaned/tidied up
Entertainment
First evening was OK comedian, rest of trip great shows.
Children's Programs did not bring children
Onboard Activities
plenty to do - if swimming watch out for salt water in pool (burns the eyes)
Destinations and Excursions
Nassau big "ho hum", liked CoCo Cay & Key West
Cabin / Stateroom
Emerico did a terrific job.
Miami, Florida
Parking run by Miami Port Auth is $20/ day - now even for disabled.
Nassau, Bahamas
Poverty depressing - stay on the ship.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Many beaches if busy just keeping walking around to one less crowded.
Key West, Florida
Shops by boat dock "tourist pricing" - wait until you walk around shops in city.

Tip

Drink plenty of fluids during meals as water is $2/ bottle everywhere on the ship.
