Good, short cruise

We had a fun time on this cruise, but as cruises often do, they try to sell you extra stuff from the moment you board until the moment you leave.  The drink package would have been $55 per day, per person, but we opted out and ended up spending about $17 per person, per day.  If you budget correctly, you can have fun pretty cheap.  The ports were nice.  Nassau was fun.  Typical for a Caribbean town.  High pressured sales tactics, but if you can avoid that, you are fine.  CocoCay was really fun and the water was beautiful.  We were really disappointed with Royal Caribbean there because we wanted to rent snorkel equipment, but you had to rent all of the gear (Vest, fins, snorkel) and it cost $33 per person TOTAL RIPOFF!  Buy your own gear and take it with  you.  The snorkeling was fun as they had a sunken boat, and plane.  Very pretty.  Key West was our favorite. Very quaint and nice people. The ship had plenty of activities and although I thought 4 days would feel short, it was plenty! It was hard to find transportation from the ship to FLL airport, so we did the excursion from the ship to the everglades airboat tour and to gator park and then they took you to the airport after.  It was very fun!  Highly recommend for families.

Ship Quality
My only complaint was there was a bad odor near our room the entire time. Smelled like a bathroom.
Food and Dining
Maine dining room was great and the Windjammer had anything you could want for breakfast buffet.
Service and Staff
We ALWAYS felt accomodated and anytime you passed someone, they smiled and said "Hi"
The cruise director was great and the activities varied from relaxing to high energy. Troy, one of the comedians, was so funny!
Onboard Activities
You can do as much or as little as you wanted. Fun trivia, deck parties, bingo!
Destinations and Excursions
Seahorse snorkeling on the catamaran in Nassau was so fun! Gator park Everglades tour with the airboat ride in Miami was fun.
Cabin / Stateroom
It was small, but hey guess what? We are on a ship and we only really needed to sleep there! It was clean and the beds were alright.
Miami, Florida
Miami is VERY expensive! South Beach is a ripoff. Don't order a drink without knowing the price. We were charged $60 for 2 drinks and one piece of cheesecake. Total ripoff Everglades tour was our favorite.
Nassau, Bahamas
Lots of shopping full of all you could as for in cheap souveniers. High pressure sales tactics, but negoitiate in the straw market. Atlantis is a water taxi ride away.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Prettiest beach by far, but renting snorkel equipment was a total ripoff. Bring your own!
Key West, Florida
Beautiful and easily walkable town. Definitely going back there. You can rent a bicycle for $10 for the entire day and I would recommend it or you will be doing a lot of walking. LOVED Key West!

The ship swayed a lot, so stay in rooms located on a higher floor and this helps with the rocking boat feeling.
