Review summary
Royal Carribean presents a very nice cruise. All of the staff are extremely helpful and kind. We didn't come across one crew member that was not willing to go out of their way to help us. The rooms were tight, but that is to be expected on a ship. The things that were disappointing was the lack of mints at turndown service. Lack of shampoo, body gel and conditioner with cleaning the cabin. (another cabin steward gave those to us off her cart, but our steward didn't have those supplies to give out). Lack of new soap on a daily basis- I had to ask on the 3rd day for 2 new tiny bars of soap. Most disappointing was the variety of dinner menu items and the poor description of the item, once you actually see what is presented on the plate. The two did not match, so you had to be very careful with what you ordered. I tended to order the NY Strip Steak so as not to be too surprised. The desserts were not extravagent in the least, and I tended to order their standard Chocolate Delight, because other desserts were disappointing. It seems that there were many cost saving procedures that went into effect, which made the passengers feel slighted- like no mints at night, no baked alaska to go with the crew's dancing, no shampoo bottles. However, on the other side of the coin, the ship was beautiful, the comedians hillarious, the staff were extremely pleasant, and my whole family had a lovely time. It's just that the standards as compared with Holland America and Norweigen Cruise lines were not comparable.Ship experiences
