You get what you pay for

Room Type: Inside

This was a quick get away for my wife, myself, and our college age son and his girlfriend over spring break. It's been 9 years since my last cruise and will likely be my last with a line of this caliber. Save your money and book a cruise where you can relax without a constant camera in your face (even when you exit the ship), cheap watches and jewelry being pushed each day, and food that was equal to a cheap casino buffet. While the accomodations were clean and comfortable, it was not worth the low price since the add ons make this more expensive than a decent all inclusive on an island. In the end, the old saying "You get what you pay for" stands true once again. The condition of the ship was fine, the staff was accommodating, but the constant effort to push the add ons was offensive.

Pros: Comfortable bed

Cons: constant effort to sell something, food, invasive photographers

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? No.

Food and Dining
The same food served in buffet was dressed up and served in the main dining area. Edible, but very average. All deserts seemed to be right out of a Sara Lee box.
Really bad. A comedian/magician one evening was enjoyable, but other than that...not good.
Ship Quality
While the ship is older, it was clean and all items in working condition. Similar to a Best Western hotel.
Cabin / Stateroom
Comfortable and clean. Only two outlets and getting old.
Service and Staff
Just OK. Room Steward was very nice, but just about begged for a tip.
