Review summary

The Majesty of the Seas is a really good choice for a 4 night get-away. We're really glad we took this cruise. Royal Caribbean does a nice job across the board - very consistent cruise line. We appreciated the interactions with our stateroom attendant, the waiters and other cruise staff. There were plenty of people on the ship, but we never felt crowded out of the things we wanted to do. There was plenty of time to relax, nice ports to visit if you're interested. And the CocoCay stop at RCCL's island was better than we expected -we really enjoyed that day!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There isn't room for the extra, special evening restaurants (Chops & Portofino's) that are available on the larger Royal Caribbean ships. overall quality of the food in the main dining room was very good, a couple of items were off. We were less impressed in the Windjammer buffet restaurant - it was all good enough, but nothing to say "wow".

Ship Quality

Great job on the refurbishment; it's an older ship however it's really clean, well maintained and most of the older furnishings have been replaced, so you don't feel like you're on a "dated" ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom was large, roomy, very clean and well maintained. Plenty of hanging space in the closet, plenty of drawers & other storage. Our suitcases fit under the bed for storage, so they were out of our way. We were very pleased with our cabin - we were on the 9th deck, port. Very nice.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

3 out of 5
Having been to Key West many times, this was a fine port to visit, but it's not our favorite. Once you've seen the gift shops and the bars, you've seen them. We started out walking toward the Hemingway house, but it was farther than we realized so we never got there. We enjoyed our walk, but headed back to a nice leisurely lunch on our ship and never went back out again after lunch. It was sunny & nice on the pool deck, so we enjoyed the sun and relaxation there.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Lots of chairs, beautiful beach areas, great lunch. A great day!

Pros: Helpful, friendly staff; Good itinerary

Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable!
