4 Night Bahamas (Miami Roundtrip)
Sail Date: November 14, 2011
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 5 years ago
This is our third cruise and the first with Royal Caribbean. The ocean view room on the 4th level was more spacious than a similar room on Carnival. We prefer eating at an assigned table rather than random seating as with Norwegian Cruise Line, as it is enjoyable to have the same wait staff at each meal. It seemed that there were fewer activities as compared to Carnival Cruise Line, however, it may be that the Carnival Staff were excellent about announcing upcoming activities and encouraging participation.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There were fewer options for dining most likely due to the smaller size of the ship. Also the room service menu was limited.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There was a rock climbing wall which I enjoyed and the instruction was excellent. The pool was smaller than expected with only one spa connected to this. The exercise room was small and therefore the type of equipment available was limited.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant saw that our swimsuits were wet and sandy from our stop at the beach so she laundered these for us and brought them back to our room. The wait staff in the formal dining room were excellent.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This ship was much smaller than the other ships we have cruised on so this most likely is why there were fewer options for activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of the ocean view room was appreciably larger than the one we reserved for with Carnival.

Don't Miss: The Atlantis resort

Take the city tour that goes around the entire island. The guide was very knowledgeable.

Snorkeling was great.

Pros: The stop at Coco Cay, the privately owned island by Royal Carribean

Cons: Limited selection on room service menu
