Interesting Cruise

Sail Date: October 31, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Majesty of the Seas is in need of remodeling. The saltwater is taking its toll on the ship. They keep it up as best they can but it is still showing alot of wear. The ship is kept very clean.

Pros: The locations we visited.

Cons: The type of food offered on the ship.

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
Were very disappointed in the quality of the shows.
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The food was disappointing to us. The cuisine was more for asian and continental tastes. The pizza restaurant always had a burnt smell all the time and the pizzas were always luke warm. The deli wasn't open late and it had the slowest service. The food wasn't worth the wait.
The ship did have two tasty desserts. The coconut cookies and the fruit tarts. They offered two different donuts, one was white frosting or chocolate frosting. Neither one of them had any flavor. And they never had enough chocolate milk out. You would think for the kids they would keep plenty of this on hand but everyday they either ran out or someone just wouldn't put it out. There were very few vegetables to eat. There was very little cut up fresh fruit but they always had apples, oranges, etc available for you to cut up yourself. The salad bar only offered a ceasar dressing. We could not find any other salad dressing by the salad bar.
Cabin / Stateroom
Be sure what you are getting. I wanted and got an ocean view cabin. Our view was of the deck and people walking by. I also thought all ocean view cabins came with a small sofa, no they don't. Our cabin had a bed and bathroom, no sitting area at all. Unless you count the small vanity area.
