Good time for a first time

Sail Date: July 11, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We were looking for a clean ship, good food, helpful staff, and that's what we got. The ship is older, but in good condition. Everyone we interacted with was great. The whole thing went off very smoothly. After Nassau, Coco Cay was a little bit of a let-down. Coco Cay is their private island. This was our first cruise and we'd be very happy to do it all again.

Pros: good food, clean facilities, helpful staff, great service

Cons: last day, carry some windex with you

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The floor felt a little rickety in places, which is very weird. Otherwise it was great.
Cabin / Stateroom
Food and Dining
Good selection, but not many vegetables with dinner. Their coffee wasn't very good either.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Key West, Florida
We liked Key West enough to drive back down after our cruise. We took a bus tour and rented bikes and stayed in a B&B. There was a lot of tourist crap, but also some interesting places too.
Don't Miss: $0.50 oysters at Turtle Kraals, and BO's Fish Wagon
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
After Nassau, this was a letdown. The beach was just OK, definitely not as good as Nassau. The sand was trucked-in and the water not as clear. The activities are all over-priced. It felt like we stopped there so they could squeeze more cash out of us. If we had brought our own scuba masks, it would have been a different story.
Don't Miss: Checking out the sea-life in the shallows
Nassau, Bahamas
Very interesting downtown. Go a few streets deep and it's a different story altogether. People aren't as friendly, but what do you expect?
Don't Miss: Cabbage Beach on Pleasure Island
