Review summary

Very average dinners. Breakfast and lunch were good. Overtly attempting to squeeze every dollar from the guests.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Shrimp was soggy; salmon very dry and inedible; meat seemed below-average quality such as Happy Steak or Sizzler. Not sure of Head Waiter's role. Waiter and Asst Waiter attempted to be very helpful, but always made poor suggestions for meals. Requested table for two. Without explanation, seated at table for six.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw two shows and thought they were great. Live bands were more enjoyable than the DJs. The pool party and activities around the pool did not interest us. Seemed juvenile. Latin Band and the Philpino Band in the main lobby were great.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the staff were good, helpful, and friendly. A few should probably be doing something else.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Not comfortable walking on the pool deck as it was always wet and seemed slippery.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Extremely satisfied with our junior suite and our stateroom attendant was great.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

Cemetery and Duval Street

Nassau, Bahamas

Didn't seem safe or anything noteworthy other than the Atlantis. Straw Market and snorkeling experience a joke.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Great barbecue. Nice walk and good beaches.

Pros: Boarding and disembarking process; very well coordinated. Entertainment good.

Cons: Neil, the salesman, the sales of jewelry, ties, t-shirts, etc. in lobby areas.

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? No.
