3 Night Bahamas (Miami Roundtrip)
Sail Date: October 15, 2010
Ship: Majesty of the Seas
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Large Group

The ship is older but well maintained. The calypso band was good. The DJ was not very good. The dining experience was not as good as I have experienced on other cruise ships. The service was slower and the food was not consistently good. They did a nice lamb and duck. The New York steak was tasteless. This was the first time a cruise ship did not offer lobster on at least one night of the cruise. The deserts were unimpressive.

Overall the ship was very clean. However, someone broke a glass on the disco floor and it took at least an hour to get it cleaned up. The bar staff would look at it and move on or just pick up a couple of pieces. When someone finally came they cleaned up most of it but left a piece of glass and some mop strings. It is unusual to see a "not my job" mentality on cruise ships.

Pros: Room was clean

Cons: Food-no lobster night!
