12/02/2002 4 night & 12/06/2002 3 night back to backWe traveled twice on same ship before and service is way down as is the exotic food (we found one piece of lobster in a midnight on deck buffet, that was mostly hot dog, taco and hamburgers - although if you worked hard you could find Patti and Genoa salami....)We spent hours on line waiting, and even had to deal with a second lost luggage problem (two of our people took the Miami tour and they had to wait and look for a long time before bags showed up...) We hand carried our bags off the ship after that.Staff could not figure out what to do with me, the handicapped person, only the dining room figured out to keep a special chair for me. We spent a lot of time trying to communicate with staff, lucky we knew some of their languages... English is spoken but not understood.Still 100s of time better than the Carnival empire (Carnival, Cunard, Costa, Holland...) but since this 10-year-old ship was replace on the Eastern and Western Caribbean 7 day and put on the 3/4 split to the Bahamas, the service has deteriorated, but it's still a good bargain. Expect to work on getting aboard and off.Just a personal note -- most people never understood how to use the elevators which cause most of the problem and the ship's staff did not help, and could not understand how to... Use the stairs if you can, as a handicapped person, it was a pain watching people run to trample to get the elevator... Lucky being large I could explain to most why this was a bad idea... Problem when 2,000 people want 200 spots... So it's a wait...They need to put in more elevators, the center elevator lobby could get another 6 shafts placed but well that would cost more and make the ship much better but well... They are off building bigger and better.This was my 41st and 42nd cruise
