I am a seasoned cruiser and have experienced numerous different cruise lines, I would say that Majesty of the Seas was a very nice ship. The staterooms were a bit compact however, adequate. The staff was excellent and extremely accommodating. They did everything possible to make their guests comfortable. They were polite, pleasant and helpful. Check in was not bad, a little waiting but not as bad as other cruise lines. The luggage arrived at the room with almost no waiting at all. On the other hand, disembarkation was quick and easy. The food was very good and of good quality. The buffet was not as elaborate as some ships have but the quality of food was excellent as was the presentation. Activities were well organized and the cruise director was fantastic. He really made the trip lots of fun. Nassau is not the cleanest island, it is actually quite dirty and poor in many areas. The only part I found worth visiting was Paradise Island and the prime resort areas. You can rent a scooter which is a good way to see the island, but be careful of those drivers. There is no rhyme nor reason to their driving skills. Plus they drive on the left side of the road, that is, most of the time! You need eyes all around your head to see where they are and where they are coming from. My suggestion is "be cautious!" We had the misfortune to have rain on the best part of the cruise and were rained out of the excursion to the out island. (The out island is not as good as some other cruise lines islands so not a huge loss.) The activities available on the island, snorkeling, wave runners etc. were probably the highlights of the out island tour and unfortunately were missed. The ship did, however, have well organized fill in activities to accommodate the poor weather situation. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who is looking for a pleasant environment, relaxation, a selection of activities, quality food with nice presentation, a courteous and helpful staff and an all around pleasant getaway.
