My husband and I just returned from a 4-night cruise on the Majesty of the Seas. It was for my 50th birthday and the first cruise for both of us. We had a great time! I was a little concerned about getting around since my husband uses a manual wheelchair, but the RCI staff made everything as easy as possible. There was even a special lowered counter at check-in, so that he could fully participate in the process. Our cabin, on the 3rd deck, was very small, but extremely clean. It was decorated with all kinds of streamers and ballons and flowers for my birthday...a special treat pre-arranged by my husband. We ate breakfasts and lunches at the Windjammer, where we found the food to be plentiful and delicious! A nice variety each day. Our assistant waiter at dinner was a wonderful woman named "Bo" who always had a smile on her face and was very helpful with my husband's wheelchair. She could not do enough to make us comfortable. We met four great couples at our table at dinner and they really helped to make each evening fun. The food at dinner was excellent, but we were a little disappointed with the presentation of the food. Except for the deserts, the appetizers and main courses often looked "dumped" onto the plates. I think a little more care with presentation could go a long way. The RCI staff was extremely helpful in assisting us with debarkation at the various ports. We had not planned to get off the ship at Coco Cay, thinking that there was no way we could handle the ferry to the island and the beach with the wheelchair. Our assistant waiter convinced us that we "had to" go and that there would be no problem...she was right!! The staff helped us onto the ferry and when we got to the island, there was a special beach wheelchair waiting for us. We loved the nightly entertainment, especially the show "The Beat Goes On" which was a Broadway-quality musical. Richard and the rest of the cruise entertainment staff really work very hard to keep everyone laughing. We definitely plan to cruise again and we would not hesitate to cruise with RCI
