My husband and I recently took our third RCCL cruise, this time on the Majesty of the Seas. We had a great time and the ship was very nice. One complaint we had was that it seems they are going to more and more buffet type lunches. We had buffet style lunchs on 3 or 4 days. The desserts were leftovers from the previous nights dinner. When you are supposed to tip your waiter and assistant waiter $3.50 and $2.50 per person a day and you are only actually receiving their services for one meal a day, that is pretty hefty tipping. I feel you should tip for the services you use. Each morning we ate in the Windjammer Cafe and then served ourselves lunch most days. We only used the services of the waiters one meal a day. We did tip the recommended amount, but after returning home felt it was not a warranted tip and probably will not do so in the future. The ports of call were all nice and the weather was great. We had no trouble finding deck chairs on days at sea like we did on one previous cruise. The embarkation process needs some work. We waited in the Showroom until our flight was called, but after going through customs, it was crowded trying to get your luggage checked in for transporting to the airport. They should have held us onboard where we had a nice comfortable place to sit until they were really ready to handle that many people. All in all, it was a great vacation and a good value.
