Review Summary

The Majesty of the Seas is the perfect boat for a quick weekend getaway. You have to remember that you get what you pay for, but for the money, it was a great trip! It is really great to add in Coco Cay as a port of call. Days at sea are boring but this cruise allowed us to spend our first day in Miami, Second in Coco Cay and third in the Bahamas. It was a little chilly, but we got some great sun the first day, and shopped the second. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to get some sun but is on a budget.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food wasn't great, but most 3 day cruises aren't. I will say that the variety and options were better than Carnival's same cruise.

The enterainment is what you make of it. I've seen better cruise director's, but there was something to do every night. The Bolero, the latin club, was amazing. They had a live latin band that really rocked....but if you aren't into the latin thing, it is very limited. The calypso band played in 20 minute intervals, and then took 45 minute breaks....they were great when they were playing.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
They were as friendly as underpaid expatriots can be. They are all from third world countries and do their best to smile and take the abuse the drunk cruisers dish out at them. All and all, they were very accomidating, I just felt sorry for them.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was a little confusing to navigate, but was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We bought an upgraded stateroom with a window, unfortunatley, it was a window facing the jogging track. We kept the windows closed most of the time and spent alot of our cruise out and about so it wasn't a big deal.

Pros: ports of call, cruise card, clean boat, friendly staff

Cons: low quality food, small rooms, dated entertainment shows

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!
