Pretty Good Cruise

Sail Date: November 02, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

I thought the Royal Caribbean service was as good as ever. The ship's refurbishing was very nicely done. The cabins are still extremely small. We had an outside cabin on the 6th deck. The new beds are extrememly comfortable. The dining room's usually more upscale food was a definite let down. There are plenty of other more casual food choices. The nightly shows were entertaining but not as well done as they used to be. ( We have been taking Royal Caribbean cruises for over 10 years.)
Overall, it's still a fun vacation.

Pros: The refurbished ship is beautiful. New Windjammer system works great!

Cons: The dining room food is not anywhere near as good as it used to be...choices are limited. Windjammer food was actually better. Still the dining room was beautiful.

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Dining room food...too mediocre. Too few choices. Other casual dining like the Windjammer, Pizzeria, Deli...very good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean and comfortable bed. Way, way too small.
Entertainment
Entertaining but nothing special
Ship Quality
Lovely public areas, good layout.
Service and Staff
Friendly and professional
Nassau, Bahamas
Traveled to Cabbage Beach, Paradise Island. Beautiful
Don't Miss: Shopping at the Straw Market.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Due to rough seas, we could not use tenders to get on island...usually the best spot on this short cruise. Big disappointment.
Don't Miss: Great BBQ
