We had a nice time

Sail Date: September 03, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was nice, not as fancy as we expected. Food was your typical buffet quality food with a lot of unusual foods and spices mixed in. Would like to have seen more basic foods. Kids activities were great, but had to be there to pick them up at times that interfered with other activities going on. Not a lot of activities that are not based on alcohol and listening to music. Day activities are basically sitting in the sun around the pool and drinking, not my idea of entertainment.

Pros: Relaxing time

Cons: Ability to coordinate adult activities with children's activities

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Dining room food quality same as windjammer cafe. More choices at cafe. Only difference was whether you wanted it served on a plate and how much you got. Portions small in dining room.
Service and Staff
Usually quite good. Occassionally nasty when people did not know what they were doing. That was unacceptible to me. Tell people where to go, don't yell at them for going the wrong way.
Comedian was excellent. Non-music shows we attended were good. Did not attend music shows.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms small but all you need. We had ajoining rooms and the passage between the two was "squeezingly accessible".
Children's Programs
Everything was good, our 6 year did not want to leave. Pick-up and drop off times conflicted with other activities so you had to miss beginnings and ends at times. Or not go.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Island with beach. Was really hot the day we were there.
Key West, Florida
Much nicer area, our most enjoyable stop. We enjoyed the historical houses. Not much else to do tourist-wise there.
Nassau, Bahamas
Stick to area right around ship. Enjoyed Pirates of Nassau. Once very far away from ship it felt unsafe.
