Review summary
We have been on over 30 cruises, 20 as elite members of Princess. We love dancing and dressing up to go out. Unfortunately this class of Princess ships has removed all our favourite dancing venues including the Wheelhouse Bar, Explorers lounge, Club Fusion and the Sky lounge. All dancing in Majestic Princess and similar class ships is in the atrium/piazza. Unfortunately at night time everyone including toddlers, kids, teenagers, bogans, drunks, line dancers all try to use this area. It is a disaster. There are no dress standards. Very disappointing. Kids run amok. The food on this ship is substandard compared with other Princess ships. The head chef is non European and does not know how to cook authentic Italian, Thai, Mexican etc. Many of the dishes are various forms of meatball, rice and potatoes. There were no theme food days/nights. The ship was full of Chinese and at times it felt like we were in Chinatown. Princess is obviously trying to capture the Chinese market. Many Chinese restaurants on ship and a lot of Chinese signage. We do not like the new layout of this class of ship. Too many cabins, too many restaurants any very commercialised. We will cruise on the smaller Princess ships like Diamond, Sapphire etc in the future.Embarkation
