Good size ship for getting into smaller harbors. The crew is great, really helpful and friendly even when the passengers were difficult.

The 4th floor was very easy to use and close to most everything.

Because it is a smaller ship, there are only elevators in the front and back of the ship, none midship. Keep this in mind if walking is an issue.

Elevators were very good without much delay. the crows nest was typically a quiet spot in the evening. At 5:00 everday was a "sip and saver" where you could get a glass of red or white wine (different wine each day) and an appetizer for $4. It became a great meeting spot.

We had some high swells while crossing the Tasmin Sea from New Zealand to Australia. Then it was nice to be on deck 4 instead of the upper decks that sway a lot more

To get a good seat for the show you need to get to the theater an hour before the show.

If you like old ships that need a lot of repairs...this one is for you.

With the condition the Maasdam is in at present, I would not recommend that anyone book a cruise on this ship right now.

Overall easy to get around once you remember you can't get from one end of the ship to the other on Deck 7. Leave your expectations at home and you'll be fine.

Ship was small enough to get from one end to the other with no trouble. The food was excellent both in the dining room and in the buffet. The Maasdam singers and dancers were the best group of entertainers we've seen on any cruise. The only complaint is that the thermal suite in the spa was small

Although the Maasdam is smaller than many ships, its size greatly contributed to its feeling of warmth and friendliness.

Relaxing & Enjoyable Cruise! Not crowded & Great staff

I would suggest taking the anytime seating. The main dining room opens for dinner at 5:15PM, and it gets crowded. If you don't have a reservation you may have to wait awhile. Or, if you wish a later seating make your reservations for the time you want for every night of your cruise right away.

I needed to visit the medical staff. Very professional and helpful.

If you need to get to the front desk and you are in the aft of the ship you have to go to the eighth floor and go down to the seventh floor. Every can you get in Alito is the same as if you get it in the dining room so is it worth to go in the dining room I don't think so. Also they do have washers

The 7th floor is closed off in the center of the ship. You have to go the forward or aft stairs/elevators to access each half. The laundry facilities are older, but very handy especially after a week's tour prior to the cruise.

This ship is smaller and older than any others we have been on. It was easy to negotiate. The food was above average. The shows were not much except for a truly amazing magic show, (Matthew Dowden). Our balcony room was very nice. The destinations were, for the most part, wonderful.

Don't book shore excursions on the trip...overpriced
