14 Night Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 23, 2012
Ship: Maasdam
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

This is a good cruise line but for people over 70. The food is very average. The service is done by Asians who try and serve the American way. The help has a lot of problems with English.

I probably will appreciate the quiet and sedate activities when I am that age.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Not enough specialty chefs from Europe and AMerica

Entertainment

1 out of 5
No organisation for sports on ship. No tennis tournements, pingpong etc on a regular basis. Almost nothing to do on sea days.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Pros: staterooms are spacious and the policiy of wine and champagnes permitted

Cons: smoking and lack of places to dance in the evening

Recommends Maasdam? No.
