Review summary

This cruise is mostly for older folks who aren't quite so active. My recommendation is for these type of people. Two large areas (casino and Crow's nest) were smoky so limited part of the ship access.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
It was hard to adjust to rushing to 5:45 seating, but 8pm was too late and I heard that open seating could be hard to get when you want as well. The food in the dining room ranged from excellent to okay during the week.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was limited (especially with the Crow's Nest being smoky). but we did enjoy the string quartet. The workout room should have had more exercise classes available.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful service everywhere.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was well maintained and easy to get around. Only complaint is the smoky areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Stateroom was fine (didn't expect anything too large) and it was a good location to the walk around deck. Bed was very comfortable.

Ports of call

Sydney, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
Not much here.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

5 out of 5
Charlottetown is a great little place. Took an overall tour and then walked the streets. Very pretty.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Nice area. We walked around without a tour.

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Very pretty. The tour was helpful, but very pretty to walk everywhere also.

Pros: The service

Cons: Smoky areas
