Just got off this ship... by EllieLetourneau

Sail Date: /

Just got off this ship and I loved it! The newer additions such as the water slides were great! The service and entertainment was nice, and I also really enjoyed the ports of call. Roatan has always been one of my favorites. I really like how the freedom class ships have a similar layout as the voyager class ships. It made it very easy to get around. I recommend this ship.

Wonderful Cruise! by zabanya

We enjoyed our cruise on the Liberty of the Seas on May 28 - June 4!  The dining was fabulous...a great selection and the food was great in the Main Dining Hall, which we enjoyed for dinner.  The food in the Windjammer was good; when we went there for breakfast, it was sometimes difficult to find seating during peak times (around 9 a.m.)  All staff were attentive and caring regardless of the time of day.  The entertainment was good - I especially enjoyed the Ice Show and the 70's and 80's show the night before the Saturday Night Fever show.  The only difficulty we found had to do with the Waverunner.  Both of our sons wanted to try it, but it was often reserved for lessons.  Our ports - Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel were good as well. Getting on and off the ship was relatively easy.  We look forward to cruising with RCL in the future!

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

We had a great time. You can always pick apart a vacation, but we look forward to this and go with the intentions of making the best of it and creating more fun memories. But truly, there wasn't anything that we could complain about! We love cruising on Royal Caribbean and the Liberty is a great ship!

We had an absolute blast... by allieroesler

Sail Date: /

We had an absolute blast on this ship. There's so much to do your hardly in your room.. which we loved! From the waterslides to hanging by the pool. The shows were fantastic, we really enjoyed the ice show, Saturday night fever, and up in the air. We even had fun at the Quest and battle of the sexes. We laughed so much! We Also loved the food. We ate at Sabor, Johnny rockets, and of course the windjammer and main dinning room. The staff was equally great, we did my time dinning so we got to meet multiple staff members. Our room steward Ivan was the Best! He always had us laughing not to mention our room was always perfect. We also enjoyed his creativity with the towel animals always a different one, I don't know how he keeps track but he's amazing. We are sad that he will be done in June but happy he will be able to go home to his family. He has been doing this for 23 years. We sure hope our paths cross again some day. All in all our first cruise was great and we cannot wait to book another!

In spite of CONSTANT SELLING a Great Cruise by lindatel

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

We love cruising so every cruise is great.  Our big problem was the constant in the face selling.  Free Seminar = Selling, Phone Message = Selling.  Sellers are stationed everywhere, you can't avoid them.

I like the Adult only pool - it is strictly enforced which for me is a plus.

I'm a Diamond Member and the Diamond Club is another BIG PLUS.  The Diamond Club offers free drinks and appetizers every night.

The food in the Windjammer and the main dinning room is good (not great) and plentiful.

The Staff on the ship is exceptional, they are all friendly and happy to help in anyway they can.Happy

Liberty of the seas over all experiance by jynjur

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Over all I felt this ship and cruise was wonderful. This was our first cruise and we weren't sure what to expect. The promenade was beautiful and the ship was large enough that we still didn't get to see it all in one day. The shore excursions through royal Caribbean were a little lack luster. Very confusing and disorganized, but we still managed to get there and back in time. Overall this ship and cruise was everything we expected and more. We will definitely be cruising again through royal Caribbean.

Was a great cruise. Went on Carnival last March and thought nothing could beat it. Went with Royal Carribean this time and decided without question this is the line for future cruises.

Liberty of the Sease, May 7, 2017 by Cruiser89715147

This was a wonderful family cruise with options for the children to see and interact with their favorite DreamWorks characters.  We traveled with two special needs children and the crew and staff were very accommodating - we didn't want for anything.  RCI even made special arrangements for boarding and disembarking to reduce the stress on the children.  Our cabin was large, the ship was clean, all the people were wonderful.  The purser's office could use some training on customer relations (they were a bit short/abrupt); and the food was more cafeteria quality (even in the dining rooms).  But overall this was a wondeful family experience!

Love Sailing! by ZSTKBRKR

We enjoyed our 7 night RC vacation. The ship was clean, staff very friendly and the food was O.K. We liked the dining room with the three levels and we always do the "any time" dining so it is convenient. The lines were never too bad to get a table and you can make reservations if you choose to. Breakfast was better in the buffet because you have more choices and the food is warmer. We didn't care for the mushy tasteless hash browns in the dining room but in the buffet they had crispy ones which are much better. They didn't charge a corking fee for the two bottles of wine I brought with me, which I thought was nice. They even stored it with our room number so we could finish the following night. BTW I did see that people were getting on the ship with their bottled water and soda drinks, wish I had known! They do allow two bottles of wine, Drinks are ULTRA expensive...beer $8.50 and mixed drinks up to $15.00. They really push the beverage and specialty restaurants. Chops was not good as they are cooking in Duck Fat not butter. The dining room was equal...not sure I would do the specialty dining at all. The beverage package is worth it if you are drinking at least 6 or more drinks per day. Don't forget you are off the ship for three days so we didn't take it and saved a lot of $$$ just buying the drinks.

The Buffet gets tricky trying to dodge the people in the lines and aisles but we figured it was worth it for the selections. They a really did a good job managing the buffet on this cruise. The food trays were quickly filled and they were  always warm. The eggs made to order were great and the lines were not too long. The help staff in the dining room would come around and offer juices, coffee and drinks. They seemed to want to help! The one thing we missed was the hot dogs and hamburgers by the pool. Almost every cruise I have gone on has some food by the pool...so we missed the burgers being grilled outside. Some cruises even have pizza outside and sandwiches but RC does not. The hamburgers are a disappointment as they are served from a tray inside  the buffet. Taste is NOT the same. They do have ice cream served by the kiddie pool in the afternoon which is nice. The lobster night is good. Remember you can make it surf and turf by asking the waiter and you can send anything back that is not to your liking and they will happily get you something else. You can get two entrees if you ask...they are very accommodating in the dining room.

Sailing out of Galveston limits your destinations. After many many cruises out of Galveston ...we have seen all the ports. We liked Honduras the best. We booked a private tour with Cleve and he is a one man show! Takes you all over the island , stopping where ever you want to go, in his 12 passenger van. If you have a group or go as a couple , he is your man! Fun and intelligent with good energy that could be bottled and sold for big bucks!

If you go to Costa Maya get on the shuttle and go to the beach. Go to the second stop on the shuttle where they have the free palapas and give you the free margarita. Yes they are trying to refine the place but we had a GREAT time listing to live music, drinking beer and getting massages. $20. for a great massage on the beach. Can you beat that? It is so Mexico and we had fun.

Cozumel was nice too. We went to Mr. Sanchez's Beach Club about 15 minutes from the pier by Taxi. Its is a very nice resort with a great pool, pool bar and beach is clean and fun for kids too. Snorkeling is available as are the Kayaks. They have an all inclusive price of $59. for food and drinks which we did. The service was great.

Our room on the RC Legend was small, the bathroom very small but pretty typical of sailing on a cruise. Our aft view was amazing and the balcony on floor 7 and 8 are worth booking as they are twice the size and view both aft and side. We had cabin 708 and I HIGHLY recommend it if you do not mind walking. VERY  quiet  and the balcony is as private as it gets. Teo chaise lounges and two chairs and a small table. Perfect balcony and best yet!

All in all....we enjoyed. Happy

We went as a family group and went for this spring break trip. It was a little crowded due to the timing, but the ships crew and staff made this experience an amazing and memorable one. Cabin was always cleaned, extras always provided as requested, and dining room staff positive, polite, and ready to please!! Very enjoyable vacation :)

Just got off the ship... by kerrieanne24

Sail Date: /

Just got off the ship and heading home😓. Overall it was a great cruise. This was my 5th cruise but first with RC. Just a few things to keep in mind, they don't always have a lot of activities going on at night, I thought Carnival did a better job there. The vibe was a little more fun on Carnival. The adults only pool closed rather early in my opinion, and they didn't show many movies at the pool or the theater. We found the food to be pretty good and we ate at Chops and Giovanni's Table, Chops was great, I thought Giovanni's was ok, but I'm from NY and a bit of a snob when it comes to Italian food. Overall, we all found the food to be better on Royal over Carnival and the staff more interactive, they remembered your name and were very detailed oriented. The ship is beautiful, the layout was great and easy to get around, again I think Royal got this a little better than Carnival. The ship is also immaculate and I love how they really push the hand sanitizer. Embarking and disembarking wasn't as bad as I had expected, about an hour of waiting each way. Getting on and off the ship at port was a breeze. The kids loved the flow rider, slides and we all enjoyed ice skating (tip: if you have your own skates bring them, the ones you get there are kind of uncomfortable). The entertainment was great, we saw the ice show (don't miss this) two comedians and an entertainer called El Gaucho who was really great. My kids are 12 and 16 and loved the teen club and I was completely comfortable letting them stay there late. Overall it was awesome and we did book again for 2019 but I think we will try to do an Eastern Caribbean cruise out of Florida. When comparing Royal to Carnival I enjoyed both and would do either again. If anyone has any questions I am happy to help!
