Felt like First Class Trip! by fishcomm

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

Our family of four (including 2 teens 15 & 17) took this cruise out of Galveston. We could not say enough good things about it. There's something for everyone onboard. The shows were very entertaining, and the aerialists were superb. The ice show was colorful and fun to watch. My younger teen son hooked up with the teen club and we almost had to beg him to spend dinner with us. He loved the activities and new friends. Our older son liked going to the main entertainment and trivia game nights. The entertainment was always family and kid friendly before 10 pm. The food was very, very good in both the Windjammer Buffet and My time Dining restaurant. If you didn't like a dish in the sit down restaurant, they would immediately get you something else. All the staff always wore smiles and quick to please and serve you. Rooms (balcony and interior) were clean and enjoyable. Annoyances, including before sailing, was RC always trying to upsell you on their drink or food or Internet packages. Even on the ship upon entering the windjammer there would be staff from other onboard pay restaurants that were trying to get you to make a reservation with them. It was equal to pesty beach vendors. However, when I mentioned this to my cabin steward, he passed it on to Guest Relations and I got a call right away. They wanted to make sure I knew that they were listening. Maybe it was my imagination, but those on board restaurant vendors seemed to be less noticeable and quiet after that. Our whole family felt spoiled by the trip, and are missing being on board again our first week back. It was top notch and really enjoyed by all of us!

Great trip. A lot of kids on board but we were able to find quiet spaces. by JFG

Great cruise from Galveston. Liberty of the Seas is a beautiful ship with lots of activities. There was the largest collection on kids we have yet experienced on a cruise but we had a good time. Food and staff were excellent. Entertainment in the Platinum theatre was very good but not much of it. Ship is clean, well maintained and well run. Muster drill was the smoothest we have experienced. Cabin was good. PA system could use improvement in many parts of the ship. Captain and Cruise director were good but less visible than on previous cruises we have made. Overall a good experience.

Everyone on the ship is amazing and so willing to help, our house keeper, Sheraton, and our waiter, James, were nothing short of excellent.

Wonderful 1st cruise by kisa1

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Enjoyed everything. The shows, hospitality, you name it. See some items on dining menu you like? Try them all, as many as you like. No limit. Purchased some Rum Cream ( only available in Jamaica ). Quest show is hilarious. I’m a 6’4 Black man who won sexy woman competition. That says it all. Already booked for next year.

My second sailing on this ship. by KS62

I took this cruise a year ago and just took it again. Boarding was super fast and easy, our luggage arrived within a couple of hours. We love the main dining room for dinner and the windjammer for breakfast and lunch. Meals were high quality and delicious! Johnny Rockets is fun and the food is tasty. I bought a coffee punch card in advance and got lattes twice a day from cafe promanade. Very good deal if you don’t buy the beverage package. The casino is tight as you would expect on a ship, and very smoky. There is a non smoking section that’s a little better. The photographers are everywhere and a bit much for me, but some guest love all the photos. Our balcony state room was great (cabin 8594); although the mini fridge doesn’t get really cold. Make sure to go see the QUEST, it’s the best show / competition ever!!! Overall, the cruise ship was wonderful and we will definitely go again soon. Love ziplining in Honduras and everything in Cozumel is awesome. Not a big fan of Belize.

This was our first cruise, and the start of our cruise addiction. Was not sure what to expect but had one of the best times we have ever had. by Huggins873

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Totally enjoyed this first cruise! We ventured out just slightly at each port, just trying to get our feet wet with this new experiance. And plan on taking full advantage of our opportunities on future cruises. Was blown away by the staff on board, it really felt like they did everything they could to make the trip perfect. Ship as I saw it was well maintained and very clean.

Fun cruise on Liberty of the Seas by ekelting

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

We had a great time. You can always pick apart a vacation, but we look forward to this and go with the intentions of making the best of it and creating more fun memories. But truly, there wasn't anything that we could complain about! We love cruising on Royal Caribbean and the Liberty is a great ship!

Liberty of the Sease, May 7, 2017 by Cruiser89715147

This was a wonderful family cruise with options for the children to see and interact with their favorite DreamWorks characters.  We traveled with two special needs children and the crew and staff were very accommodating - we didn't want for anything.  RCI even made special arrangements for boarding and disembarking to reduce the stress on the children.  Our cabin was large, the ship was clean, all the people were wonderful.  The purser's office could use some training on customer relations (they were a bit short/abrupt); and the food was more cafeteria quality (even in the dining rooms).  But overall this was a wondeful family experience!

Just got off this ship... by EllieLetourneau

Sail Date: /

Just got off this ship and I loved it! The newer additions such as the water slides were great! The service and entertainment was nice, and I also really enjoyed the ports of call. Roatan has always been one of my favorites. I really like how the freedom class ships have a similar layout as the voyager class ships. It made it very easy to get around. I recommend this ship.

We had an absolute blast... by allieroesler

Sail Date: /

We had an absolute blast on this ship. There's so much to do your hardly in your room.. which we loved! From the waterslides to hanging by the pool. The shows were fantastic, we really enjoyed the ice show, Saturday night fever, and up in the air. We even had fun at the Quest and battle of the sexes. We laughed so much! We Also loved the food. We ate at Sabor, Johnny rockets, and of course the windjammer and main dinning room. The staff was equally great, we did my time dinning so we got to meet multiple staff members. Our room steward Ivan was the Best! He always had us laughing not to mention our room was always perfect. We also enjoyed his creativity with the towel animals always a different one, I don't know how he keeps track but he's amazing. We are sad that he will be done in June but happy he will be able to go home to his family. He has been doing this for 23 years. We sure hope our paths cross again some day. All in all our first cruise was great and we cannot wait to book another!

Amazing ship by laybackbock

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

I had been on this ship in 2009 and loved it back then.  With the newly updated outdoor sports, this ship is even better than before.  Our dining experience was amazing with the food and service.   Entertainment was probably the best I've seen on a cruise ship.  Embarkation and disembarkation was a piece of cake.  We did the walk off and was on our way home at 7:40 am.

We had a great time.... by wheetymom

Sail Date: /

We had a great time. Ship was beautiful and we loved walking through the Promenade. We did the My Time Dining and sat at Romeo's table. I made reservations online before getting onboard and after the first night we enjoyed the service so I requested the same table every night. The food was great and Romeo was wonderful at making recommendations. Apple pie with 2 scoops of ice cream was my husbands favorite. The shows were great, everyone in the family had a different favorite. I loved the variety and quality of the shows. We did ice skating and enjoyed that. Getting on and off the ship was so easy and we never had to wait long. We were at Cayman Island and if you have an excursion through the ship you get priority debarkation. We didn't have an excursion booked but still had plenty of time to walk to Eden Rock Diving Shop for some snorkeling, lunch at HardRock Cafe, and then shopping. We watched movies in the indoor theatre which was nice to have some down time. All in all it was a great cruise. Just a couple of things to be aware. The Windjammer gets very very busy and you have to hunt for a table. Romeo reminded us that the MDR serves lunch too on sea days. Loved it there. I also read a lot of reviews about crew trying to up sell the Dining. I saw that but it wasn't an issue. The annoying part we noticed was on the Promenade all the raffle tickets being pushed on us for whichever prizes. We just learned to say no thanks and moved along but just something to be aware of. We all had a great time and look forward to our next cruise.

Amazing experience! by jh126197

Yes, I would recommend this cruise to others.  Everything was 1st class.  The food was excellent, the service all throughout the ship was fabulous.  We spent a lot of time at the adult pool and thought music should be playing on that side as well.  We also thought that the music diversity wasn't what we expected.  We like to dance and would have liked something other than club music or Latin music.
