Great experience by CEF

Favorite part of the cruise was the show every night.  Also the dining experience was fantastic!  Would recommend the cruise line, but not the port...terrible experience for us.

Awesome Week Aboard the Liberty!!! by dstephens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We celebrated our Anniversary, My husbands retirement and his 50th Birthday!  It was a week of celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed it all on the Liberty of the Seas.  The crew was attentive and when I asked for a recipe, the wait staff sent the Sous CHEF to my table in the Windjammer and he spoke with us directly!  Loved that.  Our rooms were well taken care of and everyone onboard was helpful.  Will definitely take another cruise with RC.

2016 Annual Family Cruise by estellarflores

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I enjoyed the shows and the variety provided.  The costumes and performers were awesome. We enjoyed the skating show and the Earth show especially.  The food was delicious and the ship staff was very friendly.  I felt that the deboarding process was very long and improvement is needed. We also enjoyed the Promenade performances.  We will definitely return for another cruise!

June Cruise by aprildzanski

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My favorite part of the cruise was spending time with my family and just being able to relax on the way to some beautiful destinations.  The food at my time dining was fantastic and for the most part, everyone on the boat was so friendly and helpful.

Improvements - The pool area is way too small for that many people.  I feel there should be two decks of pools.  On sea days it was so crowded that we really didn't even go up there until about 6 when everyone cleared out for dinner.  The kid slides and water area were great, but the adult swimming areas were far too small for all the people wanting to be outside.

The other improvement is the creaking of the boats.  One night I had to go to guest services and complain about the creaking noises that were keeping me awake at night.  They placed wedges in-between the walls, as the said some parts of the boat make noises. They did try to quickly accommodate the inconvenience of the noises at night, but it was initially disturbing to my sleep. The one last thing I think should be added to all rooms is drinks.  Not alcoholic drinks, but everything I got on the royal replenish card.  For the amount of money we paid for the cruise, soda and bottled water are a must.

Other than that, I would recommend this cruise to others and let them know that if you hear the boat creaking in your room to go to guest services right away instead of trying to survive through it.

Food, bed, internet.....highly disappointing by danielsjanet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

So much of the food seemed fake. Like the steaks and pork, looked like liver. Like it was processed. Didn't look real. So many of the snack/desserts didn't taste good. Specially the choc chip cookies. They were awful. Some of the other desserts I had to spit out on the first bite. My bed dipped so much that I laid on the outer edge and woke up probably every hour during the night with back pain. I paid $86 for internet but yet half the time I couldn't get it to work. Very frustrating! Would've like my balcony chair to recline. Couldn't hear the captain give his updates very well from the room. Movie nights by the pool was a joke. Speaker weren't good during the talking parts and the kids in the pools screaming made it hard to hear, but very annoying that they were even screaming and no parents were around to tell them to be quiet. Should be a rule imposed that during the movie, no kids in the pool.  Pizza needs to be cooked longer, the dough was barley cooked. The shakes at Johnny Rockets were runny. Paid over $4 for only taking a few sips then throwing it away.  Our phone for the first three days couldn't call room service. It would automatically put me on some kind of hold, then after a few minutes disconnect me.  Happened for several days. Quite Annoying. Bummed I spent so much money for this week vacation to come back and not be completely pleased. Once over, getting off the ship was such a long process. Lines were major long. Would have been best if I did the express check out and took my bags with me in the morning and got through nice and early.

Thank you Royal Caribbean for a wonderful vacation by mnyagwange

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first time cruising and it was the best experience ever. Your staff are the best,  from the housekeeping, dinning room, pool site, entertainment....everywhere we went the staff was fabulous. I highly recommend the Royal Cruise to  first time cruiser, the ship is beautiful, a lot of activities and shows to watch. A big shout out to Wawan Serigan in the dinning area, Clement Douglas the housekeeping and James Rhodes the entertainment director, .... they went above and beyond their duties to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I will return soon with my entire family. Thank you Royal Caribbean for a wonderful vacation.

High school graduation cruise by 4knights1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

First time cruiser family, we learned a lot from YouTube - spend the time and watch them all! Some make no sense and others are right on track.  Buy the ultimate drink package By calling customer service I saved 50% just by asking for a discount !!!!! It pays for itself in 2 days. The frozen drinks with or without alcohol are what makes it worth the price. The food is unbelievable! You can eat almost 24/7 and it's better than most 5 star places..  Bring a suit or formal dress, formal night on the ship is not mandatory but it's cool seeing everyone dressed up around the ship. Basic supplies are very expensive onboard- bring bug spray, suntan lotion, Tylenol, etc.... Read the daily itinerary - ours was called the cruise compass and we planned for shows, activities and lounging quickly. Take advantage of the seminars- lots of free jewelry.  Read all reviews for the shore excursions, pay attention to the time frames. You may not feel like snorkeling at 0700 if you were dancing at 2 am the night before.  Remember that there is a daily gratuity for each person in your stateroom and no cash is accepted on ship other than casino. Charge wisely!!  Have fun, have a drink, enjoy a show, a movie, learn to surf or skydive!!!! Leave negativity behind and enjoy enjoy enjoy! Can't wait to get back on the ship for another cruise.Happy

Overall ok by smesser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I loved the ship and he many things to do.  I also liked the cruise director and activities manager.  They made it a fun environment and upbeat.

We did do the cupcake class but the cupcakes tasted terrible and we had to throw them out.  Also we had spa treatments that ran late.  No one talked to us about it, we were just left waiting.  With the prices that are charged I would have expected much better customer service.  And lastly, we did my time dining and there were four people in our party. Except for the last night, we were put in the very back corner spots with what seem to appear left over staff at best. The staff was not very attentive to us when we were in those dining locations.

This is my 7th cruise but I am not sure Royal will be my next choice.

Don't Hesitate! by brandyspu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If you are even considering this cruise, don't hesitate! It was an amazing experience. The ship was beautiful. There was plenty to do. And even during the days at sea, nothing was ever too crowded to enjoy. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Everything was always very organized. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much, we're ready for our next cruise!

Love the dining room - despise with a passion the "anytime dining".  We chose to have a set table #725 so we could have a set time to eat and visit with the fantastic ship personnel

First Cruise on Royal Caribbean - will cruise them again by kkmcelvany

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My only true complaint relates to the embarkation and disembarkation process.  These were not very smooth.  I think they could have been done a little better.

We did have one problem with our shower drain - which our room steward (Howard) handled right away.  Howard's service was great all week!

We are very glad we chose the assigned dining time!  That worked very well for us.  Our waiter, Santino, had our names down the first night!   His service was impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed the ever-changing menu options.

The new Mexican food specialty restaurant was delicious!  Service was a little slow in there, but the servers were gracious and the guacamole is fantastic!

Awesome ship and service! by rick899

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The whole experience was amazing! We enjoyed the whole ship and all that it had to offer. There were 6 of us, 4 in their early twenties and they enjoyed it as much as we did ( in our fifties). The shows very really impressive and we made sure that we did miss a single one. Everyone very friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Never lacked for anything. Will go again for sure!

Beautiful Ship - Great Cruise by melhulsey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I really enjoyed the entertainment on the boat. Would like to have seen a little more variation in the food buffets.  The food was good but it was the same day after day.  The staff was helpful and friendly.  Everything was very clean.  Would definitely choose a Royal Caribbean cruise again. I would like to get on  the boat in less than 2.5 hours next time - that was painful!  The tender process for the Caymens took way too long as well.

Disappointment!!!!!!Lack of Customer Service by joseph024

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first time sailing on Roal Caribbean. The best part of the cruise was the entertainment, some thing always going on.

Our Cabin steward and our Dining room wait staff were excellant 5 stars.

Improvement needed in getting on the ship took us over 3 hours standing in long lines in Galveston heat. No one offered any water or any assistance at all many areas of improvement needed in the check in lines. Staff standing around doing nothing but talking to other employees.  Took us from 11:30am till 3:00pm to get to our room. Now starving our room steward sent us to deck 5 to get a bite to eat(ate breakfast at 7am)  All resturaunts were closed because ship muster was going to start at 3:30pm. just wanted a cracker or piece of fruit but NO was the offer.  Finally at 4:00 pm got something to nibble on as dinner was at 6:30pm. Needless to say they charged us extra for the nibble of food we had. It was our 48th anniversary and I purchased a Special Anniversay Package to surprize my wife to be delivered to our room on June 7th by June 8th our anniversary date nothing.  Called custome serice they did not have anything told to go down to deck 5 and the customer service agents would help. Another long line waiting(this is a clue they had many problems). Spoke to two agents they had no record of it on ship there office in Miami had the info and could not contact them. They said I had to purchase the package again and they could deliver the next day. They already spoiled the surprize. They could care less. We had no HOT WATER in our sink for 3 days before it got fixed. biNext day recieved a message Diana Agrad in customer service wanted to talk to us. She was sorry this all happened and wanted us back as a RC traveler and offered us a 20% discount on next cruise, she was going to type up the letter and have it delivered to our room. Nothing no letter no call.  We are back now and no one from RC has called or e-mailed.  Would you cruise RC again??????

Everyone was very personable and called you by name.  They made you feel right at home.  I understand all employees are graded and assessed by us travelers and maybe live what extra we give on tips.
